Hoe meer ik over die Foto Vlaanderen lees, hoe schabouwelijker het wordt. De woke assumpties zijn overal:
- Het gaat bijna uitsluitend over de typische vooroordelen van blanke autochtone burgers, zoals angst voor moskeeën en omvolking; zelfs de idiote "wintermarkten" achten ze een vraag waard. (Ironisch: ze zien islamitische Vlamingen blijkbaar niet als "echte" Vlamingen)
- De term "islam" komt alleen maar voor als het gaat over "bezorgheid OVER de islam", "weerstand tegen moskeeën", angst voor islamisering en omvolking. Allemaal hoogst "problematisch".
- Er zit helemaal niets in over het goed gedocumenteerde verband tussen islam en LGBT-intolerantie, niets over religieuze rechtvaardiging van geweld, en niets ernstigs over migratie (alleen in de containercategorie "buitenlandse origine", die ze vooral vol Hollanders propten). Het wegmoffelen van de link tussen religie en intolerantie zit al in het hele onderzoeksopzet.
- De stelling "Er zijn maar twee geslachten" wordt geproblematiseerd en als een vorm van intolerantie, iets waarmee mensen het "lastig hebben". Nieuwsflash uit de biologie: ER ZIJN MAAR TWEE GESLACHTEN.

Dit is echt een belabberd werkstuk waar alle woke assumpties vanaf druipen.

“Hallo allemaal,

ik heb wiskunde gestudeerd en werk momenteel, mede vanwege de huidige precaire arbeidsmarkt, als zij-instromer aan een middelbare school in het Ruhrgebied. Het aandeel vluchtelingen is op mijn school, net als op veel andere scholen in de regio, vrij hoog.

De meeste vluchtelingen worden les gegeven in aparte integratieklassen, omdat hun onderwijsniveau zo laag is dat instroom in het reguliere onderwijs simpelweg niet mogelijk is. Twee van die integratieklassen geef ik meerdere keren per week les, en ik wilde hier gewoon mijn ervaringen met jullie delen. Ik stond al vóór mijn huidige baan uiterst kritisch tegenover de huidige migratie, maar mijn ervaringen in het onderwijs doen mijn toenmalige zwartste scenario’s lijken op een welwillende utopie.

Voor de context: een groot deel van de integratieklassen bestaat uit in Spanje geboren Marokkanen; daarnaast zijn Syriërs, Afghanen en Roma ook sterk vertegenwoordigd. De rest is een bont mengsel van Oekraïners en vluchtelingen uit andere Arabische of moslimlandenpanden zoals Libanon of Somalië. De ene klas bestaat voornamelijk uit jongere leerlingen van 11 tot 13 jaar, de andere klas bestaat vooral uit tieners van rond de 16 jaar.

Hierbij een korte samenvatting van mijn observaties:

∙Ongeveer de helft van de klassen is niet noemenswaardig geletterd in de eigen taal; iets meer dan de helft spreekt Duits – soms ook na jarenlang in het lokale schoolsysteem te zitten – ongeveer zo goed als ik Mandarijn spreek.
∙Wat betreft wiskunde (bij andere vakken kan ik het slechts beperkt beoordelen) is het onderwijsniveau een compleet fiasco, zelfs bij de oudere leerlingen. Echt de allergemakkelijkste rekenopgaven (5+6 of 7−4) leveren al grote problemen op. De oorzaak lijkt vaak cognitief van aard te zijn, want zelfs als ik de getallen door middel van voorwerpen verduidelijk, zijn veel leerlingen niet in staat de opgaven op te lossen.
∙Op dit moment is het ramadan. Oekraïense leerlingen die niet vasten, moeten het lokaal verlaten als ze iets willen drinken of eten. Dit is enerzijds een door de klas zelf opgelegde regel, maar wordt anderzijds ook gedoogd of zelfs actief ondersteund door een groot deel van het overige leerpersoneel en de schoolmaatschappelijk werker.
∙Sommige mannelijke leerlingen weigeren om geloofsredenen naast vrouwelijke leerlingen te zitten. Dit wordt eveneens getolereerd.
∙Vechtpartijen zijn aan de orde van de dag, en dat is geen overdrijving. Er vindt daadwerkelijk bijna dagelijks minstens één vechtpartij plaats.

∙Tijdens de ramadan slaapt een goed deel regelmatig tijdens de les – door het hoofd op de tafel te leggen – wat eveneens door het overige schoolpersoneel wordt getolereerd.
∙Vrouwelijke leerlingen worden regelmatig uitgescholden met sterk obscene termen. Het bestraffen van dergelijke uitlatingen vindt ofwel helemaal niet plaats, of zo terughoudend dat herhaling in de hand wordt gewerkt. (1/2)

This is a woman who lived in the mansions, sat on the boards, flew private to Davos parties… and is now saying:
“We were the useful idiots.”

Here’s what I think will happen in NYC under Mahdami.

The free buses and government grocery stores won’t happen, they never do. They sound good during campaigns, but collapse under basic math. You can’t run a city on ideas that cost billions and produce no revenue.

The only way to make housing affordable is to build more housing. The free market lowers prices, not regulation. Every time politicians try to control rent or force affordability by decree, developers stop building and landlords stop maintaining. Supply dries up, the quality collapses, and the few properties that remain skyrocket in price.

Once landlords can’t make a profit, they sell, lose properties, or walk away. Eventually, the government takes over.

Taxes will rise to pay for the promises, and the middle class will be the ones shouldering the burden. The rich will relocate, the poor will depend on subsidies, and the productive class will be squeezed from both sides.

Thriving businesses are the foundation of any thriving city. When they leave, everything else follows, jobs, schools, grocery stores, stability. Chicago already proved this. Boeing, McDonald’s, Caterpillar, Citadel, nearly 70k jobs, all gone. Now they’re facing billion-dollar deficits, half empty schools and neighborhoods without grocery stores.

I saw someone who lived in a rent-controlled apartment in California put it perfectly, he said his landlord could no longer afford maintenance so the pool was filled with dirt, the floors had soft spots, and the foundation ended up cracking. That’s what overregulation does, it destroys quality.

People who voted for this will eventually feel the pain but they won’t blame the policies or the politicians, they’ll blame the rich for leaving.

This conversation is always difficult because most people simply don’t understand market dynamics or incentives. In a free society, people act in their own self-interest. If you remove profit and reward dependency, productivity dies and the city with it.

If you think things are expensive now, just wait until they’re “free.”
