ASTANA, Kazakhstan. 71.12% of Kazakh citizens voted in favor of building a nuclear power plant, said Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Trend reports.
- "According to the data received, a total of 12,284,487 Kazakh citizens were eligible to participate in the referendum. Of those, 7,820,204 people, or 63.66%, took part in the vote. The number of citizens who voted in favor of the referendum's proposal was 5,561,937, which accounts for 71.12%," Abdirov stated.
