Teame is a collaborative project between @UCC and @CIT_ie funded by @ForumTL to promote the transition to e-assessment in Mathematics in Irish Higher Education.
@CITmaths are conducting a survey of 1st yr students who had a Maths module in Semester 1. This is an opportunity for you to have your say in your Maths education in @MTU_ie. Keep an eye on your emails and be sure to have your voice heard #SpiritMaths@MTU_CorkSU@STEMSouthWest_
The Academic Learning Centre's Online Support for Students is back for Semester 2. Available in one-to-one or small group sessions to give students the support needed to succeed.
We're going to run some more Numbas training sessions:
2nd February, 14:00 GMT - Beginners

Registration links are on our blog: https://t.co/yQk1cUIrk5
Now getting stuck into a demo w/ @julieccrowley. Slight bit of pressure on us to do the maths...but thankfully we've got a great facilitator moving us through it! A few folk seem inspired to find out more and get started. #mathsteaching
Good to have the context as to how @CITmaths drove innovation in mathematics e-assessment...and was recognised by National Forum as well, I think? Overview and a bit of theory thx @DeirdreMCasey Cant find the reference for this...
The recording of our advanced Numbas training session on July 22nd is now online.
Topics covered include explore mode, custom marking algorithms and custom part types.

The GeoGebra extension has been updated!
You can now create diagrams entirely in Numbas, load them from a file, or from https://t.co/PA40lIDksx.
You can link GeoGebra objects to part answers, and query GeoGebra during marking.

Maybe we could share best practice/ideas on offering online maths support? What's easy? What works? @DCU_MLC @CITmaths @mu_msc@UCDMathsSupport@sigmahubs please share
Due to COVID-19 restrictions IMLSN Workshop: Building Community in Mathematics & Statistics Support, scheduled to take place on April 24th 2020 in Dundalk Institute of Technology, has been postponed. Will re-schedule for later in 2020.
Following a query, here's a question which uses pattern-matching to allow the student to choose any names they like for the constants of integration in the solution of a 2nd order ODE: https://t.co/WvaMO1QgUu
