@UTDMael Pirlo, Baggio, Ibra, Vieira, Vieri, Edgar Davids, Giuseppe Meazza. I think a couple other older school guys too, but the more famous examples.
@jamessharman@footy_prime That was hands-down the best sporting event/atmosphere I have ever experienced in my life in Canada. Incredible scenes, incredible showings from both sets of supporters. An honour to be in attendance and take it all in. Once in a life time for sure 👍🏼 ⚽️🇨🇦
@BenSteiner00 I agree with this for everything you stated above ^. I think Marsch however will got with Jebbo which I’m ok with, but I’d like to see Junior on the squad for one last go as well. The fit and the added bit about one last World Cup with the national team make it a fun call.
@AsaRehman@BenSteiner00@goal Fair point definitely. Just unfortunate from a marketing perspective in these local communities across Canada to not have players they see on a weekly basis on the world’s biggest stage, especially when trying to capture new fans.
@CanMNTonly Noble Okello - just received his first call up to the Ugandan National team as well in fact. At one point was called up to Canada camps by Herdman, but never featured. Playing in USL currently.
@jamessharman@footy_prime All a tactic to create buzz closer to June 12th when he is in fact ready & does feature in that match vs Bosnia 👀 What sounds better? Better to keep expectations low and over shoot on them than to build them up sky high and under shoot on them.
@TFCNU2 Goodman is there over Pantemis for sure, to gain experience as he’s one for the future. Alfie Jones I suspect will be fit so he’s in for sure then essentially the only battle on the squad is for the final Cb spot between Priso & Waterman. For me, Marsch is loyal & takes Waterman.
@mikenespeca5@IFTVofficial 100% agree. Cant speak for Juve, but this has to signal a big shift for Milan. We need management and the coach to go. The squad overhaul that began slowly at the beginning of this season needs to continue. I hope for smarter signings and more investment in Italian players.
@mikenespeca5@IFTVofficial I agree on the no Italians aspect, that’s unfortunate. But it’s the model; how to build your club, invest in young players, promote & play them right away, sell them for profit reinvest. Also have a supportive ownership and modern manager. Other Italian clubs can learn from them.
@SempreMilanCom GK: Maignon
D: Pavlovic, Bartesaeghi, Gabbia
M: Modric, Jashari, Ricci, Pulisic, Salemaekers
A: Nkunku
Id add Camarda and Liberali back into this team permanently.
Everyone else can go. Allegri and management HAVE to go.
@MilanPosts Loftus Cheek and Fofana for me HAVE to go. If Allegri is gone (hopefully) then his sidekick Rabiot goes with him. Under a new manager I want to see what Jashari, Ricci, and Pulisic can do. Alexis is good utility depth and Modric is always class.
@SempreMilanCom The only players I actively saw showing any sort of hunger throughout that 90 minutes were Bartesaeghi, Pavlovic, and Pulisic, regardless of the fact they couldn’t score. Fullkrug shouldn’t even be allowed to buy a ticket to watch the game let alone touch the pitch in a Milan kit
@Bonetti I see so many silver linings in this. Finally this will wake up our club to end this Allegri mistake era, also cut the dead weight that’s been on this squad for the last 2 years. Made Europe again sure, but wrong night of the week. Unacceptable and this should be the wake up call
@A_Schaffner89 Would have done wonders for us also if during the “Unattached FC” bleak generation of the mid 2000s-early 2010’s we had Hargreaves, Jonathan DG, Begovic, young Ricardo Ferreira, Bunbury, etc.
@A_Schaffner89 I try not to think about it often lol But imagine this recent/current CANMNT with Tomori, Cristante, Marmoush, Kadioglu, and Bounou in it? I’d go so far as to say that would be an elite team in CONCACAF.
