Could a cannabis compound save your sight?

The 10 mg dose of dronabinol significantly improved blood flow to the optic nerve (by about 10–12%) for up to 4 hours compared to the placebo. It also increased blood vessel density in part of the eye by about 6.7% (compared to the 5 mg dose).

Dronabinol didn’t change eye pressure or blood pressure. This is important because some patients still lose vision even when their IOP is lowered, suggesting other factors (like poor blood flow) may also harm the optic nerve.

This could make it a helpful add-on treatment for glaucoma, especially for patients with poor eye blood flow.

"A new treatment combining THC and CBD significantly reduced agitation in people with late-stage Alzheimer’s and other dementias, who were eligible to receive or received hospice care, with benefits seen in two weeks.

Nearly 9 in 10 study participants who received the treatment showed overall improvement in target symptoms at study end at week 12.

Could CBD Be a Game-Changer for COVID-19?

I took cbd oil all during Covid and never got it.

The study was "double-blind" and "placebo-controlled," meaning neither patients nor researchers knew who got CBD or a fake treatment (placebo) to keep results fair.

CBD was given under the tongue (sublingual) to some patients.

Results: Patients who got CBD had better health outcomes (like fewer symptoms or faster recovery) compared to those who got the placebo.

Most studies (64%) were on glioblastoma (a type of brain cancer), 27% on lung cancer, and one study on breast cancer.

CBD was found to slow down the growth of some CSCs.

It lowered the activity of molecules on dendritic cells that trigger immune responses. It reduced the cells' ability to present antigens (substances that activate the immune system). It calmed down two important signaling pathways (MAPK and NF-κB) that cause inflammation. It stopped T cells (a type of immune cell) from multiplying and getting activated.

Lab-grown hemp roots could be a reliable way to produce compounds that fight inflammation. These compounds could be used in medicines or health supplements to treat inflammatory diseases.
