Quick update on me regarding #footballindex - submitted my letter with an evidence annex to @vickyfoxcroft at DCMS yesterday. It really is incredible how bad the GC were from the onset to collapse. Sent this to Lawyers & Media who I am talking to. Would rather resolve this

I have once again written to Lucy Rigby MP @hmtreasury & noticed she didn't respond to my last letter on 9/3 which is consistent with her previous lack of interest. The letter includes the 30 point annex of evidence regarding sports spread bet regulation.

This is an absolute fucking gold mine of positive info for us especially as it is Sporting Index giving evidence to Parliament. I like the "regulation must prevent hybrid products" line at the bottom!

Hot off the press. Sport spread betting (which is how the FCA defined #footballindex) does benefit from FSCS protections. How does that work when the FCA say they do not regulate sport spread bets? Lies always get found out!

4⃣The final report only includes a mild note that GC didn’t give FCA enough info. The FCA’s real assessment — the serious stuff — was filtered out.

So we have a supportive MP who is actually taking time to understand the #footballindex issue rather than just sending letters which don't get answered. Looks positive. I am preparing a report over the next 2 weeks for the Solicitor and the MP to set out the legal case!

In the interests of transparency here is my revised complaint letter to FCA - it is 7 pages long with supporting evidence that has been emailed to them this morning! Feel free to tag your MP to make them aware that the #footballindex scandal is still very much continuing!!
