Here is an in-depth article on how to play Promising Future. I implore everyone to read this as I predict this card to be very meta relevant when Vendetta releases. Enjoy! :) https://t.co/n8bB46FnHr
@CasanovaCasts I think people are conflating the legend being bad with "there hasn't been any good empower cards revealed yet in blue and purple." With a couple of good enablers the legend will be pretty potent.
@Vero_TCG Double loss for draws is the truth. Leaves no benefit whatsoever for going to time and removes any incentive to slow play. More matches finish on time with a definitive winner which should be the goal.
This whole aurora skill or not debate is useless and besides the issue
Playing vs Aurora feels like a complete waste of time and that’s the problem
You miss turn 1 => you lose
They miss aurora => they lose
They see aurora t3 => you lose
They see gust + aurora and ramp => you lose
You remove aurora from their hand => they lose
You destroy aurora on the spot => they lose
In All of these scenarios the games are boring af and a complete waste of time, neither player has a chance to display any skill
You only play a real game when they get to aurora a bit later and need to be crafty and smart, that’s the « difference in skill » between aurora players
The truth is, that skill diff exists, but the issue is that we went from games being winnable vs t4 aurora to almost unwinnable if you don’t draw your immediate out
Aurora is too strong right now so this problem is very apparent, but it’s just a design issue and the card should be banned imo because of how unfun it is to play against and how it limits design and deckbuilding for orange
Ps dont come at me with skilled aurora players win without it its complete cope only aurora yi could do that into spell decks because of deadbloom+zhonya set 1
@Vero_TCG It is still utterly baffling to me that we are still putting game pieces meant to be always accessible in the rare slot of packs. Imagine if basic lands could randomly show up in rare slots in magic. The fact legends aren't token rarity is really under-serving Riftbound.

@Troylol1 Happy for you and Nate to get paid off for all the work and prep you guys put into the list and understanding the marchups. I'm glad to test alongside GOATs like yourself.
Went 5-0-1 at the pre-regional in Atlanta on Annie today. Feels like coming home to my set 1 roots. Huge shout out to @Prismaticismism for the inspiration to break out this deck again.
@RandyyyTCG Another based take from Randy. I'm down to let Aurora slide for a bit but it's clear the days for the card are numbered and puts an unnecessary limit on design.
@MreMOEtional I think people haven't adapted lists enough yet to tell. For the most part, I think you need to tailor the whole deck differently than just swapping fof and the BFs to something.
Man, I'm loving spoiler season for @playriftbound's third set. It is a little disheartening reading the legend effects for Kha'zix and Vex and then looking at Draven, though.
In FaB, games are Bo1 with pregame sideboarding similar to the new rules of Bo1 Riftbound, with 50 minutes per round and 1 turn overtime (with judge next to you so you don't take excessive time). If the game is a tie, both players lose, making people play on proper pace.

@YukiLeeBender Seconding North Market. Far and away the best option near the CC. If you are okay with an uber to German village there's a lot of good options as well, most famous of which is probably The Thurman Cafe
Won my second @playriftbound summoner skirmish yesterday, going undefeated on Annie.
I'm feeling ready for set 2 testing. I would like to see the meta develop and adapt like the set 1 meta has. It's a testament to this game that it's still so fun after over a hundred matches now
