@DaccCollege Industrial Tech students competed in a concrete building exercise. The winners are, pictured left to right, 3rd Place, Michael; 1st place, Brody; and 3rd place, Hayden. The Press, behind them, measures compression, tensile, and shear strengths.

Manufacturing Instructor Todd Flessner is holding the DACC college seal that a student @DanvilleAreaCC forged on a CNC machine. Prof. Doug Hunter built the walnut case & Dean Terri Cummings provided the felt interior. The seal will be worn by the DACC president at Commencement.

Manufacturing Professor Todd Flessner @DanvilleAreaCC had a great idea to build "CNC TV" to keep track of the operations of the new CNC machines. While a student is doing metalwork on a CNC, the rest of the class can watch on the video screen. That's Prof. Flessner's hand inside.

Today's In-Service @DanvilleAreacc included our introduction to the new Welding Instructor R.J. Rowland. As you can see, R.J. (left) got to sit at the "Cool Kids'" table with Professors Todd Flessner, Kathy Franklin, Doug Hunter, Dr. Benjamin Jun, and Mike Shutes.
I applied for a Gene Haas Foundation grant a few months back. Forgot about it actually, and while on winter break from class, I received a letter stating my college was awarded $2000! So awesome, and unexpected! Thanks Gene Haas Foundation! Two students will receive $1000 each!
