@_ToddBeane Educating parents is also key (as you know). Coaches with game centered approaches shouldn’t have to justify their actions which are often unfortunately seen as ‘not coaching’ by parent groups.

@_ToddBeane Regardless of work it’s healthy to question status quo.Largs has a reputation for being one of the better schools in UEFA.Wasn’t educated there so can’t comment beyond.When I worked in the US I witnessed dire coaching from ‘pro coaches’ but never attributed to Scottish influence.

STOP praising kids for kicking the ball off the pitch when trying to win possession.

They're just giving the ball back to the other team.

Encourage them to win the ball and keep it for themselves/their team.

Please do not buy into the macho model of youth coaching.

It’s not you vs the opposing coach.

You both should strive for an honest, competitive, and healthy match for all kids.

Not easy at times, but thus it should be ideally.
