@iowahawkblog Fahrenheit used two commonly known temperatures to set his scale. He set 100 as the temperature of human blood (98.6 so pretty close) and the freezing point of water at 0. Didn't care about pure water as they were really worried about ships at sea (salt water).

@NobodymrRobert Liquid asphalt not tar. Could be straight AC, an emulsion, or have additives. This method fine for low speed, low volume road but if greater than 100 cars per day or 30mph, need a real chip spreader or application will not be uniform and lead to poor performance
