⚽️ NEW OUTLET! ⚽️

Attention Newcastle United fans: a new site dedicated entirely to intelligent, independent coverage of the Magpies is launching on CounterPress.

The Gallowgate Dispatch, led by @harrydecosemo, is set to offer a fresh perspective on Newcastle, with a focus on exclusive interviews, features, in-depth analysis and opinion.

Harry is a journalist, lifelong Newcastle United fan and former season-ticket holder at St James’ Park. From the highs of the Sir Bobby Robson era, on which he wrote his book Black and White Knight, to the depths of two relegations, he saw it all.

He has covered the club in Dortmund, Paris, Brussels and Barcelona during two Champions League campaigns and was there at Wembley to capture the end of a 70-year wait for a domestic trophy as they won the Carabao Cup in 2025.

Harry has built up strong relationships with people at Newcastle and has interviewed some of the biggest names from the club’s past, while also working for publications including BBC Sport, the Guardian and FourFourTwo magazine.

The Gallowgate Dispatch will, aided by Harry’s strong insight into life at Newcastle United, offer a fresh view of the club’s past, present and future. Through interviews, opinion and analysis, podcasts and deep-dives, there is sure to be something for every kind of fan to enjoy.

Harry said: “I’m so proud to be launching The Gallowgate Dispatch. As the media landscape and coverage of football clubs change, I believe independent journalism is becoming more important.

“My love for Newcastle United was passed down from my dad, and I grew up watching games from Level 7 in the Milburn Stand. Covering the club more recently has given me a new perspective, and I believe there is a gap in the market for that perspective to shine.

“I hope to create a hub for honest, frank and insightful analysis while using my contacts to take readers inside the club, while also detailing some of the most important moments of its history in ways not to be found elsewhere. I hope this can be a place where fans can feel closer to the best club in the world.”

Also discussed: Johan Manzambi showing how he was exactly what #NUFC need. Can’t help if he rejects move but try & sign similar profile; for second season running, most of the summer recruits aren’t in the XI.

[Harry De Cosemo @harrydecosemo]

Matthias Jaissle needs time.

But his approach is about risk and reward, and with the most shots against, deliberate space in midfield being exploited and the second worst XG in the PL, it isn’t working. #NUFC
