@YankeeGunner How different is digital noise and "real" noise though? A lot of people lean on X to give them an opinion on how player x played, even if they've just been watching the game with their own eyes. And we know by now that Sky Sports et al do the same thing to dictate their coverage
@DougieCritchley@HarrySymeou No Raya, Timber, Cala/Hincapie (take your pick), Rice, Zubi, Gyokeres, Saka or Trossard/Eze (take your pick). So at least 8 players not starting last night.
That's a second string team?
@AfcGmen@CDEccleshare@Carra23 IMO the mainstream media were excited to have a new challenger to write about to break the United Arsenal duopoly that was nearing a decade by that point. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it's clear their method was going to be a net negative, and that's come to pass
@YankeeGunner@flemalem24 I'm not sure he's this clever with it. I know that Clive was on it once, but, are the'thoughtful, intelligent' fans even applying to be on these sofas with him? And is he the decision maker that deliberately omits them?
@No1egular@EkeneJennings@Dianjuh@ArsenalRadar If he gets to the end of his career coming 2nd and 3rd, never wins it, and becomes a pundit then yeah ofc. I'd say he would be very well placed to answer the question "what does it take to win the league"
Some of the best pundits on TV are the ones that never won the league
@EkeneJennings@Dianjuh@ArsenalRadar If you come 2nd 3rd and 4th your whole career he'll know what you need to get to 1st as much as a league winner tbf
@DougieCritchley@AtTheBridgePod I agree that the new format is better. Usually City would be up against 3 jobbers & coast through, but, if they happened to lose GW1 we all knew they'd still go through so it didn't matter. The jeopardy is better now. Although, did it ever need to be extended to 8 games per side?
@JimmyOHare16 @OliverKay I agree... One positive I see is that the league can't be bought as easily - gone are the days of an Abramovich arriving and firing £50 notes at the top teams. PSR is a factor ofc but it's coupled with there being such a short supply of game (and club) changing individuals
@AFC_T91@GunnerEc@Jaksthevibe@Arsenalnewschan We should be asking "how good are Liverpool right now?" The way things are panning out, losing to Liverpool away was a worse result than drawing this weekend at Bmouth + our set pieces are being spoken about so much that our injury crisis is massively going under the radar
@Bxshhyy It's bad defending, but, put Gravenberch or Kovacic in the same (out of) position and mistakes like this will happen. We all saw these situations coming.
