Shivaji is completely unrelated to Ladakh.
Emperor Aurangzeb brought Ladakh within the Indo-Muslim political sphere after defeating the Dzungars and Tibetans.
In return, Ladakh's rajah (king) embraced Islam with the title of Aaqabat Mahmud Khan. He became an imperial vassal and was also inducted into the Mughal nobility, receiving the prestigious rank of 3,000 zat and 2,000 sawar.
His son, Rajah Masood Khan succeeded him to the throne of Ladakh with the same title.. Masood Khan’s brother (also a Muslim, with an imperial rank of 500 zat and 500 sawar) settled in mainland India .
Pangong Tso Lake was the site through which imperial Indo-Muslim forces pursued the retreating Tibetan and Dzungar forces into Aksai Chin.
Awadh was the first British-client state in India, It stopped being a Paramount power after Buxar & Plassey in 1757 and was controlled by the British. Following Maratha Paramount in 1772 Shuja ud-Dawla shat his pants and requested aid against Marathas with the British
Shivaji has nothing to do with Ladakh. The statue of General Zorawar Singh Kahluria (Chandel), a Dogra Rajput known as the Napoleon of the East and the architect behind Ladakh becoming part of modern India, would’ve been better. ⚔️🏔️

An Orissan defending Shivaji Maratha?
The Maratha oppression in Odisha was so severe that the natives came to use the term ‘Maratha Amal’ (Maratha rule) as a byword for oppression and tyranny.
Stockholm syndrome?
