Burkina Faso, for all its flaws, isn’t hiding behind ballot boxes. They’re not hosting billion-naira elections just to recycle greed. They said, “Enough of the circus.” And for that alone, they deserve more honesty than the democracies dancing in deceit.

What’s the point of elections if:

The winner was written before the votes?
The people are poorer after each poll?
Institutions exist only to serve the elite?

Don’t talk to us about “democracy” when there’s no food on the table, no power in the socket, no justice in the courts, and no future in the streets.

Africa doesn’t need elections to impress the West.
It needs accountable leadership to uplift its people.
Until then, Burkina Faso isn’t the problem—
it’s the rest of us pretending we’re not in the same rot.
