" i'm n-not —— not too sure. "
he certainly hadn't been upset by anything said. all this was just . . so much for the little thing.
" the others might . . well, be upset that i —— i brought a human along. "
safety. thats all it was.
" if— if you'd like, i could make sure you get back there safely? " she felt she'd upset the poor thing, and it was evident as she offered a sympathetic look.
worried, really.
fiver was expecting pain. it was only natural for mankind, at least to a rabbit. and instead he was only met with a gentle touch.
it . . wasn't enough to completely dispel the small rabbit's worry —— his whole body shook with fear —— although it seemed to calm him a bit more.
the rabbit breathed heavy, terrified and waiting for some sort of pain that . . well, never came.
" h- huh —— " came within still panicked breathing, allowing the other's touch . . he still couldn't move much.
He watched the pitiful attempts with the same static face. Never changing as a hand extended out once he got closer.
" Hey, buddy, you injured yourself. "
The voice is still calm yet dull. A thin anorexic hand moves to gently pet their body to soothe them. Surely John could +
the less information he received at once, the better . . the initial interaction alone was enough to change his world already. not sure the little guy could handle much more.
" oh, " he understood . . maybe.
" i-i'm sorry. perhaps i should return to my warren . . "
" oh no, certainly not. far too advanced for humans. it— well it's a little hard to explain, but there's a group of people. time lords. they made this. . . "
her knowledge on the creation of TARDISes remains slim, for now.
every person has a child inside, that was me. a little boy crying in the dark. someone who no one understood. someone who had no one to trust. just a little boy.
" i think . . i'll be okay. "
but what did rabbits really know of infection, anyway ?
he peered at the console, curious again.
" is this a human creation ? "
" do you— still need help? " her bandage job and disinfectant was fine, but she, did still worry a little about the rabbit’s mobility.
especially if he opted to return outside. that bandage could breed more infection than protect against, frankly.
i’m so tired of this world. i’m so tired of living through this constant hell. i never asked for this… i wish they would’ve just left me the way i was before!
even while understanding the words being said, it did little to ease fiver's fearful behavior. as the other moved closer, he attempted to move . .
only to be met with pain shooting through his hind leg.
even while strained, the small one made a rather pitiful attempt to move.
checking to see if they were alright and fine.
Thankfully John doesn't eat animal meat, but human meat. Getting closer towards them.
" Easy. Easy. You might have broken something little fella. "
humans were scary, terrifying even —— seeing the hatchet only raised the furs along his back.
shuffling backwards in an attempt to move away, gaze focused on the man's boots. one foot failed to make contact with the ground, however —— and sent the poor thing

elil —— the thousand enemies of rabbits —— were no uncommon occurrence. all one could do was run, and run this one did . .
. . all the way under a hollow log, where the terrified and shaking form of the smaller rabbit hid. waiting. watching.
living in the wild, with only farms to experience what the human population was like . . it was often unpleasant. his own brother had been victim to that violence, once.
" i — i believe you, " he gently started.
" you helped me. "
" they— er, 𝒘𝒆 can be, yes. but i promise you, i’m not. . . " about as harmless as a gun, but quite unassuming, and it is truly rare she resorts to such means.
and why would she ever, ever do so with him?
