I’m making the move over to Bluesky.

Ask (a few times), and you shall receive.
I was first asked by a resident to get a bin installed next to the new bus stop on Thorpe Road MONTHS ago!
City Council’s response? Too many bins near by.
But with a little more nudging, we finally got there 🙌 #ThorpeHamlet
Good news on this front, the Council is on the case and we have brand new bins in the depot waiting to be installed! Will report back when the work has been completed! #ThorpeHamlet
Green Cllr @martinschmierer picking up on the terrible state of @NorwichCC bins along the riverside walk in #ThorpeHamlet.
I’ve now reported these bins which need to be replaced, which ties in with other work I’m doing to get more bins installed along the riverside walk.

🏨 Plans for the new Norwich Nelson development have now been submitted to Norwich City Council for planning permission.
This is a huge project which will have a significant and lasting impact on both Thorpe Hamlet and the wider city.

Tonight a special meeting of @NorwichCC is being convened to decided on whether we put forward a Bill to Parliament allowing us to move the Norwich Livestock Market outside of the city…
Currently, the Council is required by law to maintain a livestock market within the city boundaries, but there are no viable alternative sites within the city to relocate to - hence why the Council is looking to change the law to be able to move the market out of the city…
😌 Much more comfortable.
Pleased to have got these two benches along the river fixed, so we can all enjoy the peace and beauty without the discomfort!
#ThorpeHamlet
Well that was quick! 👍
Thank you @NorwichCC 😀
If there’s anything you need help with, or something needs fixing in Thorpe Hamlet, let me know and I’ll do what I can to help!

🥳 Good news! The council is on the case!
Sadly there’s been quite a few incidents like this lately, so there’s quite a few bits of street furniture which need fixing, but it’s on the list and should hopefully be replaced very soon!

The evidence for a four-day working week is clear.
At Norwich City Council, @NorwichGreens passed a motion proposed by @THamletJosh to explore a four-day working week.
The Labour leadership crumbled and scrapped it as they were scared of the Tories (who have zero council seats)
🚨Council trial huge success🚨
⁃ Staff turnover down 39%, saving £371,500 💷
⁃ Planning applications sped up 📈
⁃ Processing time for benefit claims fell 📉
Our incoming govt needs to take this seriously.
It’s time for a widespread public sector trial of a 4-day week. ⏰
I’m looking forward to attending this meeting, organised by members of the community, about Road Safety in #ThorpeHamlet.
Any and all are welcome, so please do come along, air your views and know that we will be listening - intently - to make improvements where we can.
