🚨 João Palhinha on staying at Spurs this summer: “Since the first day I arrived I feel at home. From the supporters, the crowd… who doesn’t want to play for Tottenham and stay here?”.
“What I can say is I would really like to be here”.
🚨🎙️ Toby Alderweireld says he'd jump at the chance to go back to #thfc in a strategic role:
"If they need help, I'm there. I think the other guys would feel the same." https://t.co/8NSIl2dfj6
🚨Conor Gallagher has revealed that De Zerbi has constant one-to-one meetings and conversations reminding the players of what they once were:
"He just reminds me of when I was at my best. He said that second season at Chelsea, when I had a really good season, he just reminded me of that player, he wants me to be like that again and to not forget how good I can be.
He's done that with a lot of the lads. It's as simple as that, just trying to remind us of what we were when we were at our best." @AlasdairGold
These two will be the reason we go down.
The reason so many loyal supporters will be battered and wasted money, time on supporting this club.
This club does not deserve to be in the championship.
But these men have done it.
HOW CAN YOU ONLY SIGN 2 PLAYERS IN JANUARY? 😡😡
If only people like Romero and van de Ven showed this level of compassion for the fans.
Pedro Porro may not be our best player, but at least he gets it. 🤍
OK. Tottenham are in SERIOUS trouble. The best thing I think our hierarchy can do right now is…
1) Sack Igor Tudor and bring in Harry Redknapp and Ryan Mason until the end of the season. Clear priority of staying in the EPL.
2) Agree a deal with Mauricio Pochettino immediately, for him to join after the World Cup. If Spurs can’t let the public know, at least let the squad know in private.
3) Fly Mauricio in to London and hold a secret meeting with the squad, to discuss his vision and try give the squad something to fight for. Alongside Harry and Ryan.
Thoughts?
🚨🎙️ Ange Postecoglou says he knew he was going to be SACKED by Spurs BEFORE the UEFA Europa League Final took place! ❌🇦🇺👋
“I knew I was gone. Probably around, I think the end of January, early February, I knew I was gone.
“I said to the coaches, ‘look, we’re in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, I think we can win it, and that means not just winning a trophy, but Champions League football.’ I said ‘but the reality is, get your helmets on, because every week we’re going to be copping it. I’ll take that. Don’t worry. I’ll take the responsibility for that.’”
Ange also told his staff that he believed that if we were to be knocked out of the Europa League at any stage, that would be it for him at #thfc.
Postecoglou was left out of conversations regarding the transfer window and pre-season for the 2025/26 season - “that was fine, I didn’t understand it, but I didn’t want to get distracted. I was so laser-focused [on winning the Europa League].”
