@danieIscouting By that logic, the squad that finished 17th is also "almost the same squad" that finished 5th the season before.
Some criticism of Frank is valid despite the results. Done fairly well so far but plenty of room for improvement.
@LastWordOnSpurs@fczyz Now widely reported as being false (which you knew anyway). Let's see how quick you are to post that as "BREAKING!"... Typical ragebait BS, really disappointing
@PremLeaguePanel I agree with most of your posts but this is incorrect. Showed it against Frankfurt and Bodo/Glint previously. As well as Liverpool in the League Cup and a few league games such as vs Man City. Fairly typical but ignorant view I see from neutrals.
@Kish_P14 Sorry it was a bit of a ramble ๐ I'm on about criticising Ange for having us at 16th (fair enough obviously) yet also criticising him for picking our best players to win games. Given the context, it makes little sense to me
@Kish_P14 Slating Ange for having us in a shit league position while also slating him for not tanking "pointless games" and therefore improving our league position. Fans may want him gone but Ange genuinely can't win ๐ Exactly what people want to suit their own agenda imo
@thespursweb Funny how a little spell of bad form turns Iraola from God's gift into inadequate. Ridiculous short-termism like this sums up everything that's wrong with our fanbase ๐ Do his tactics suddenly no longer work? Braindead.
@cowdray19@SebOnFootball @OwenKayyy7 Fair argument, Porro probably does look better as a wing-back. Issue is Ange uses full-backs in an unconventional (and arguably flawed) way. Personally think he's done well at full-back
@cowdray19@SebOnFootball @OwenKayyy7 Teams target the likes of Porro or Gray as they know they're not as physically dominant than our other defenders. Doesn't make them poor defenders in my opinion. Definitely weaker in 1v1s than Udogie and Spence though. Ange's tactics don't help that either.
@ItsJustKarlo_@RisingStarXI Sounds promising! Looks like an absolute physical beast for his age. I've heard he's improved a lot on the ball. Hopefully his box defending also looks good. I'm actually not too worried about his speed if the rest of his game is good. Thanks for this!
@JimmyBCSpurs@thespursycurse@fullback03 We had two great managers in Jose and Conte, yet they ultimately failed. To compete we need more great players, otherwise whoever manages us will be set up to fail. Lack of squad quality/depth has always been our biggest hindrance - this must be addressed to break the cycle.
