Overall, it was so refreshing to see a villain's story which has a detestable main character. Every time the show teased the possibility that there was good in him, Penguin did something reprehensible. Especially true in the finale. #ThePenguin
What a finale. The Penguin has been an excellent piece of television from start to finish. It would absolutely stand alone but lots of little details really fleshed it out as part of the universe of The Batman. #ThePenguin
Cannot say enough good things about Cristin Milioti as Sophia. It's a hard needle to thread for a character to be sympathetic and understandable yet intimidating and ruthless, yet she did so convincingly. #ThePenguin
Finally watching @NoRollsBarred_ Monopoly, But Zombies 2 (late, I know) and was struck by this exchange -
@domjallen: "I don't love you at all!"
Lorna: "That's how he flirts"
If this is a common flirting technique, I've been flirted with by a lot of women...
I remember thinking #MidnightMass was very good on my first watch. On the rewatch it might be better than I remembered.
The use of music and the haunting beauty of the setting are huge parts of it but I'm a total sucker for a gripping monologue/dialogue scene. This has several.
being called smart because you have a variety of information on different subjects but in reality itโs all surface level intelligence and you donโt feel like youโre really good at anything
@NoRollsBarred_ Always fun to see one of the NRB crew go, as I like to call it, Full Gracey (Hi, @JonGracey). This week's unravel: @PapaNichs. Although, to be fair, what prompted it did have a "Joe Pesci at the end of Goodfellas" feel to it.
Looking forward to the live show, guys!
@RaeRubyRaeK@MrEdByrne I saw him live a few years ago and he was fantastic then. Even by that high standard I think his new set is even better. So if anything he's improving. Well worth it if the tour goes anywhere near you.
Just come home from Hull City Hall having watched @MrEdByrne deliver possibly the best stand-up set I've ever seen. What a thoughtful, poignant and - above all - outrageously funny way to spend an evening. Top class.
Also worth mentioning that Ed's opener, @AmyFMatthews, was delightfully funny as well. Genuinely hope she goes onto great things in comedy. She absolutely has the jokes for it.
@TheCovalentTV Terrific wrestler, one of the most natural babyfaces to come along in years, utterly fearless and so damn pretty. A brilliant find for AEW, they need to keep her as long as they possibly can.
