Late 1950s - 2 lives cross on a movie set
Fictional RALPHY, who camouflaged his talent to fit a world that didn’t understand him - until he no longer could.

ORSON WELLES, who spit his talents into the wind not caring who understood . . . until he had to. #A#HF#LF#PitMad
@emptywheel Anybody going to a rally has already voted or almost certainly will. I think the bigger point is to inspire rally goers to convince those who'd never go to a rally to also vote.
@WalshFreedom@DanCrenshawTX Well put. I went to school in the 80s, and I've worked in higher ed for 25 years. I'm certain professors were much more radical when I was in school compared to now.
@briantylercohen I have lived in California for the better part of 30 years dating back to the mid-1980s. I have never experienced a brownout, and blackouts have all been equipment failure related just like in other areas where I've lived.
@BarbMcQuade Exactly the kind of attention to detail the Supreme Court required. "Presumed immunity" does NOT equal "immunity." Smith knows that he has to overcome the presumption. And he's doing it with care.
@RickPetree@nytimes Interesting thing about that data is that it suggests once there is some discussion of who is the better candidate for the union, members recognize it is the Democratic candidate. Support for Trump is shallow and knee-jerk.
@Teamsters What this suggests is that when there is discussion at a town hall as to who is better for unions, members favor the Democrat. When an automated phone or online poll asks them to pick without discussion, they select Trump. The world is more complicated than a poll number.
@SwannMarcus89 In NJ, we would call this "talking out of your ass." Translation, saying something you don't know is correct while pretending that you do know. Candidates for any office, much less president of the US, should not talk out of their ass.
@7im Not sure this is right, though. How do you explain his calls for restoring tax deductions in high tax states, not taxing social security, lowering auto insurance rates? It's all BS, of course. But it does seemed aimed beyond foul water fish.
