The #USIBWC reports the following on South Bay International Wastewater Treatment Plant (SBIWTP) in #SanDiegoCA:

@CILAMexico yesterday resumed operations at the PBCILA pumping plant with the goal of reducing cross-border flows through the Tijuana River.

PBCILA pump operations were suspended on November 15, 2025 to protect equipment after heavy rain fall in the area. Sediment removal work has been ongoing since March of this year.

Now that the system is back online, SBIWTP can resume receiving up to 35 million gallons a day from the Tijuana sanitation system.

@dilanesper Was just in San Diego briefly and it was notably way more sports-y than LA or SF, lots of Padres stuff everywhere, lots of sports on TVs. Seems like a mistake to have 2 semi-redundant NFL franchises in LA instead of leaving one there.
