$15M over 20+ years. I guess I don't understand comparing what a person makes who has worked the same job for 20 years to another person who played for 3 and then left. Going to have to explain that to me in greater detail I mean one has been loyal for 20+ years and made average to below average wages based on his profession. The other was loyal for three years, made above average, and left for better pay. Apples and oranges
No issues with Audi leaving and making bank. It's what college sports are and she isn't the issue. Fans pushing their teams to over spend and people supplementing an overinflated market are the issues.
It does have an impact on legacies and it does have an impact on how the players feel about the school as well as how fans feel about the players. 10 years from now...will Audi consider herself a Cyclone or a Cowboy? Will Becht/Brahmer/Neal/etc consider themselves a Cyclone or Nitany Lion?
Plenty of reasons to criticize Pollard...this isn't one
I always enjoy manning the booth at the Iowa FFA State Convention. Like many of the FFA students walking by, I grew up on a farm in a small, rural community. In the 80's returning to the farm wasn't as desihiltonrable with the farm crisis. Like many of the students, I was unaware of the turf industry, how closely it relates to farming and how far the industry reaches. I love introducing these future leaders to our great industry. #IowaGCSA #GCSAA
that isnt what will happen and I do not accept your chicken little, "the world will end," alarmist take.
The market is showing that the top 15 the top 15 wealthiest programs are spending more money...just like they always have. Nothing has changed in those regards. The current issue now....everyone else is trying to keep up when they dont have the money to keep up.
In this case it is literally a govt inflating the market. The market would settle itself if govts dont interfere.
again...taking tacpayer money is fucking asinine
