@DarwynsTheory It doesn’t seem like they’re attracting businesses that’s for sure. Walgreens on Vine/Sunset still empty. Prime location, how is that possible.
@TheDJCrazyLegs@LaidbackLuke woah thats pretty cool, didnt know they are involved. Just hope western govts and over zealous regulators dont drag these projects into the ground.
@TedHZhang I believe the only pure plays are $SYM (warehouse robotics/automation) $RR $SERV (service robots) - $OUST (eyes of autonomous systems/robotics) a picks & shovels option.
Water usage is water usage. Only 12% of water usage from Golf courses is from recycled water. The rest is one time use. “Cooling efficiency will not be on prio list!?” My goodness, cooling is a YUUGE issue. Main stock to follow is VRT (Vertiv Holding). They are leader in AI DC cooling solutions and actively figuring out ways for zero-water cooling.
@VOID__PROD @LaidbackLuke Personally I think water usage is a non issue when compared to other industries. The real issue is energy required and rare earths (processing). Nobody wants to talk about rare earths because it’s a dirty nasty job that pollutes the environment but 100% necessary for AI.
@VOID__PROD @LaidbackLuke The data I provided shows golf courses still dwarf AI datacenters by 300%. And if golf courses can be more efficient with water usage what makes you think datacenters wont become more efficient? It’s such early innings.
@VOID__PROD @LaidbackLuke If we're discussing the same issue (pic attached) the source is from Alex de Vries-Gao study. Global datacenter 2025 water footprint is 764 (high end) bil liters of water annually. US Golf Courses in 2005 per USGA used 2.6 tril liters of water annually.
