My wife told me this week that she caught our 5 year old staring, contemplatively out the second story window, at our view of the rogue valley. She could spot the area we play frisbee 5 miles in the distance. Cassie asked her what she was feeling and our child said it feels like we live in a castle. I can’t think of a better compliment for our new home.

The trees reach 50 feet above our roof, there are birds everywhere, and I just hung out wind chime. If I can look past the dust and poison oak on the ground, I feel so much gratitude.
