@PokemonGoApp it would be awesome if we could sort our postcard book by pokestop. I'm sure I've received duplicates from different people, but it's hard to check to be sure.

I lived in Japan for a year. Most of my experiences were exhausting in ways I’d rather not get into, but this one still makes me laugh.
I was on the train in Osaka, minding my own business, when I noticed a group of school kids a few seats down. They were whispering, glancing at me, then whispering again. They kept passing a folded piece of paper between them as if they were planning something top secret.
I watched this go on for two stops.
Finally, one of the kids was pushed forward by the others. He walked over to me slowly, like he was approaching a wild animal that might bite. He stopped right in front of me, bowed politely, and held out the folded paper with both hands.
I opened it.
Inside was a handwritten note in careful English: “Hello. We think you are a very cool person. We are practicing our English. We hope this note is correct. Please give us a score.”
At the bottom, they had drawn a literal grading box, out of ten.
I looked up. Seven pairs of eyes were staring at me as if their entire semester depended on my response.
I pulled out a pen, wrote “10/10” in the box, and added a note: “Perfect English. Well done.”
The boy carried it back to the group. They read it together… and absolutely lost their minds. High-fives, jumping, and one kid even pumped his fist in the air.
Their teacher, who had been pretending not to watch from the end of the car, was biting her lip, trying hard not to smile.
I rode the rest of the journey grinning to myself.
That’s the Japan I always remember.
It's a bummer that @PokemonGoApp ended the Tuesday spotlight hours, but worse that it happened so suddenly. I definitely needed that double transfer candy bonus every other month. :(

Let me reiterate: they want us to pump out children so they will grow up to be working class slaves and keep the economy level enough so it doesn’t burst.
They push religion and pro-life sentiments (while limiting abortion access) so you continue to have children. Your child goes to a school with no arts programs and relies on ChatGPT to get by and graduate, or they get shot because gun rights have more priority over your child’s education. They’ll be knowledgeable enough to work in the service industry but will be unable to see the flaws in the system because history is no longer taught accurately.
YOU are too busy working multiple jobs, or worse, you’re unable to get a job because AI has taken it and everything costs more, so almost half the population is living paycheck to paycheck.
I'll say it straight up:
Tracing has a negative connotation nowadays, because some people don't get why it got that connotation in the first place.
Tracing isn't bad. STEALING someone else's work is bad. What's being done in this video is 100% okay and completely valid.
Surprise! The Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post is against my 5% billionaire wealth tax. I wonder why?
If enacted, Bezos would owe $12 billion in taxes, and an average family of 4 would receive a $12,000 direct payment.
Poor Jeff would be left with just $224 billion to survive.
A lot of girls learned early that the more feminine you are, the less you’re respected. It was never about pink. It was about the fear that being feminine meant being taken less seriously.
Healing is realizing you can be feminine and still be untouchable. The day you realize that, you stop running from the girly things you denied yourself and start enjoying them like they were always yours.
“Blood is thicker than water.”
The full quote is actually “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Meaning the bonds you choose run deeper than the ones you were born into.
Some people just conveniently cut the quote in half to keep you in line.
A free vending machine in a Broad Ripple church is stocked with pads, tampons, condoms, Plan B, Narcan and fentanyl test strips because real Hoosier families have real problems on Wednesday nights, not just in talking points.
Brown calls Plan B “not a health essential” while pushing SB 236, a bill that would criminalize abortion pills and invite bounty style lawsuits over private choices in a state where most abortions are already banned.
One side is a congregation quietly keeping people from overdosing in bathroom stalls and helping women avoid crisis pregnancies. The other is the Statehouse trying to decide what can sit in that machine and who can be sued for it.
Indiana’s strength is neighbors solving problems on the ground, not politicians punishing them for it.
Trump just declared, "glyphosate-based herbicides are a cornerstone of this Nation’s agricultural productivity and rural economy." And he's declaring glyphosate weedkiller to be a federally-protected critical resources.
This is insanity. He is now pushing the mass poisoning of American food crops and groceries with cancer-causing deadly weedkiller chemicals that will be sprayed all over the food crops.
Trump just declared chemical warfare on the American people. It's all here in black and white:
