Sometimes you have to. Because post separation abuse is real. And the narcissist will try and use anyone close to you. And sometimes you have to shed those people too.
A very disturbing trait of narcissists, typically those with strong envy and psychopathic tendencies, is their ability to mimic the people they envy while simultaneously trying to destroy them. Often called mirroring, where a narcissist mimics someone else's personality, mannerisms, interests, and even life choices. This isn’t done out of admiration but rather out of a need to consume that person’s identity and then replace them. It’s almost like psychological identity theft. At the same time, they seek to undermine the original person through gaslighting, lies, and smear campaigns. They attack the very person they are copying, trying to break their confidence and make them question their own identity. By eliminating the original they ”take ownership” of the traits they are mimicking. It is profoundly disturbing when you witness someone doing this to you.
@nedsore I work in a psych hospital. And while I don’t doubt gang stalking happens… most of the people who claim this where I work are in fact …using methamphetamines.
@shadows_control I found making a routine and sticking to it no matter how I feel helps. Prayer in the morning. A few hours of work housework etc. exercise in the evening. Good sleep. Good nutrition. And I’m catholic so I offer all my suffering to God.
The silent treatment isn’t a need for space; it is a weapon of control designed to force your submission.
When a manipulative person suddenly withdraws their presence and warmth without explanation, they aren't looking for time to reflect they are planting anxiety inside you.
They leave you replaying every word you said, wondering what you did wrong, until you are ready to apologize for a mistake you never made just to end the tension.
Emotionally mature people ask for space clearly; manipulators use absence as punishment.
Your confusion becomes their leverage.
Your desire to reconnect becomes your vulnerability.
Your willingness to make peace becomes the price of your dignity.
The goal is never to resolve the conflict, but to train you to fear displeasing them in the future.
Never chase someone who punishes you with silence. Anyone who truly respects you communicates through conflict instead of leaving you stranded in anxiety to prove their power over you.
@NarcKilling I have forced myself to build a routine that includes prayer, work, exercise and diversion. But I have started making myself do the first hour of chores in silence….after prayers. The silence is physically painful sometimes. But I think it’s where God speaks.
Abusers are not ‘out of control’. They are not unaware of what they’re doing. They are operating from a belief system — one that says, I am allowed to control you. I am allowed to punish you. Your feelings, needs, and autonomy don’t matter as much as mine.
#DomesticAbuseAwareness
Abuse doesn’t always leave visible wounds—it slowly erodes who you are. In trying to keep the peace, many victims lose their sense of self.
#CoerciveControl
@The_Exit_Code Mine blocks me digitally. We work in the same building. I have managed to successfully avoid him for 3 months. But he drops anecdotes about me constantly like he doesn’t have me blocked. It’s horrible
To every predator hiding behind a good reputation:
I hope the truth exposes you, your victims find the courage to speak their truth, and every person who defended you realizes exactly who they were protecting.
May your reputation never outweigh the voices of those you've hurt, and may you finally face every fucking consequence you deserve.
