Tenderloin residents & community-city organizations who aim to end traffic fatalities & injuries resulting from underinvestment & car centric street designs.
HeadsUp: Information about #APEC related service adjustments for SoMa and Nob Hill are now available.

@smo841603557184@braitsch@jeffreytumlin Most measures are inadequate at best. City is too afraid to upset vehicle drivers at everyone’s expense. It’s a shame!
I Love Tenderloin Day on Tues Aug 1st!! SHARE SHARE SHARE, check all events here:

Thank you @SFMTA_Muni & @DeanPreston ! We desperately need safer & more accessible bus stops. Particularly for the numerous youth, seniors & people with disabilities that use this bus stop - Turk & Leavenworth. Much appreciated step in making streets safer.
Quick tally: 200 traffic-related fatalities & 18,000 injuries in San Francisco with speed as the #1 factor from 2017 - 2022.
SF needs every tool in our toolbox to #SlowOurStreets. It's time to #PassAB645 to pilot lifesaving speed cameras.

Speeding motorists who endanger lives and rob urban dwellers of their neighborhoods’ safety will hopefully no longer need to worry about *whether* they’ll get a speeding ticket. Now, they’ll have the *certainty* of it.
I proudly authored the resolution expressing @SFBOS support for AB645 to authorize speed enforcement camera pilots — because it’ll save lives.
I’m again disappointed by privacy advocates, who somehow see reckless driving as a civil liberty, and as always put public safety last.

HeadsUp: On Monday, 6/19, #Juneteenth -
➡️#SFMuni will operate on a Saturday schedule
➡️There will be no real-time monitoring of this account
➡️Parking meters and nightly street sweeping will be enforced. For complete parking enforcement details: https://t.co/xUFpGROWYI
@LukeBornheimer@SFFDPIO What is the reason for requiring 26 feet for the clearance for the Hyde Street Quick Build plans? The community is asking for a bike lane without removing so much parking. Pedestrian and traffic safety is also a major concern for the community. @SFMTA_Muni@DeanPreston
@sfpublicworks@MySFPUC Afterthought. This can be extremely dangerous for scooters and skateboarders. With an increased number of those being used for transportation it’d be good to look at safer options than standardizing this.
@sfpublicworks@MySFPUC@SFMTA_Muni Looks great! Please, bring something like this to the Tenderloin. Seems like a great substitute for raised crosswalks. Fire trucks could still easily make it across with little interference.
There are only a few more days before the state budget deadline for California's leaders to fund transit.
Can you call these leaders today and ask them to fund transit to help our economy recover, meet our climate goals, and get people to work?
We meet the best people when wearing our “I ride the 38” button. Luis Castillo, wheelchair user and Tenderloin resident, said that he too rides the 38, and that it takes him to Ocean Beach.
Thanks, Luis, for your advocacy at the Funeral for Transit, and for riding the 38 Geary!
Together, @SFBART and @SFMTA_MUNI are the 4th largest transit agency in the country, but these two systems are planning for devastating service cuts starting as early as next year. 🧵
Both BART and MUNI are seeing highs in recovery as the summer starts. Bay Area agencies continue to implement their plans around ridership recovery. We can not let this progress go backwards!
JOIN US TOMORROW TO DEMAND GAP FUNDING! Rally including @LondonBreed, @Scott_Wiener.
State leaders have failed to offer a concrete plan for transit funding. Bay Area agencies will be forced to reduce service levels. The result: mass congestion, a new barrier to economic recovery, and huge set back for climate goals.
JOIN US SATURDAY TO DEMAND BETTER!
We are so grateful to be part of a community fighting for transit funding. We need to keep our city moving — and the only way we can do that is by getting over this fiscal cliff. Join us in telling our politicians that we need to find transit, and we need to find it now!
Can you volunteer with us on May 18 for Bike to Wherever Day? Help us celebrate our fav biking holiday and cheer on folks riding around the city! It's a super fun time, and our volunteers help make the day a reality. 🧡Sign up here! https://t.co/6W5aAdgCiX
