The fact is we have years of Mayocks draft boards before he was a GM and imo the picks don't match up.
We also have years of Gruden drooling over big name schools.
I doubt he would be a good GM but him taking responsibility doesnt mean he wanted them.

We have years of his boards to look at and imo the picks just don't add up for them to be Mayock guys vs Gruden who loves big name schools.
He took the blame on that podcast but the math doesnt add up for me personally, but also probably not GM material.

What you're seeing is a cycle of friends and family staying in power.
Some of them end up being pretty good, but it doesn't change the fact that they had massive help in getting where they are vs a lot of players turned coaches grinding from 0.

A lot of these kids made more money than they can responsibly blow in a year so going as high doesn't matter anymore they want the success to go with it.

Firing a coach like Pete first year while also handcuffing him to an OC looks bad imo
