@AdamTaylorNBA Trying to trade for Giannis doesn’t line up with this logic. In the case of JB, they just don’t think he’s worth the money anymore. If there was a legitimate top 10 player available, they’d be willing to pay that player.
@McK_Chuck It’s obvious that they don’t think Jaylen is worthy of accounting for a huge portion of their cap. They were willingly to trade for Giannis so they clearly think for the right player it’s worth having a duo that takes up a majority of their cap. It just has to be right player(s)
@CelticsGRD I’m sure he would have said the league didn’t value JB like fans do and that they realized they couldn’t win with a JT/JB core anymore so they thought the best route was taking a contract they can flip in a trade next year while getting solid draft capital
@NIKNBAYT Ball knowers know how good he is. His injuries have been such a shame. Only reason I wouldn’t have had interest in cause of the injury history
@Brett_Pats Don’t think they have to exactly match it. Kuminga, NAW, and Hield/Kispert would get them to the minimum they need to be at. They feel like a bad trade partner though where it’d be tough to get a trade that feels fair/valuable for both sides. Rockets make more sense
@HPbasketball Do you think the Wizards could be a potential JB trade partner.. particularly if they can sell AD on a core of Trae, JB, and AD? Not sure the Celtics would go for it but it’s intriguing to me
@NoaDalzell Are they considering altering their shot profile on offense to be a little less reliant on 3 pointers? Are they concerned with their production in the front court, which may have made them more reliant on 3 pointers?
