Our final group for the evening is Rouse with their show: Luminosity

Luminosity is defined as the absolute measure of radiated light or power emitted from an astronomical object over time.

Now they roll out three different sizes of moons across the entire field, that kind of look like wheels of cheese. Which begs the question: If the moon was made of cheese, would you eat it? I know I would!

Great moment here with the dancers and the ribbons. The way they just float through the air really makes you feel like you’re in space

@CPHSBAND Love the many different interactions with mirrors/reflective costumes of the color guard. They really popped when they were integrated with the band members, lots of super cool visual effects.

Our second to last group of the evening is Cedar Park with their show: Mirror Mirror

Through a variety of musical styles and genres, we transport our audience to a modern and immersive landscape exploring both musical and visual reflection.

@CPHSBAND Really appreciate how quiet the first half of the ballad is, it really hushed the crowd and drew your ear in close then BAM! They hit you with that huge full sound.

Next on the field for #TMC2022 finals is Round Rock with their show: The Living Earth

When we feel connected to the earth, it can become like something alive. These experiences deeply move us, they connect us to one another and, to the Living Earth.

They make really good use of the stage up front behind the pit. Great way to feature performers but still keeping them in the picture visually.

The ending dance moment with the A/B work of the guard spinning and going Black/White is SOOOO cool. This show is such an incredible visual treat, not to mention the incredible music ensemble.

Next up is Reagan High School with their show: In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight explores the seen and unseen. From visual effects hiding performers on the field “in plain sight” to exploring the idea that we control our reality through the way in which we view the world

The little visual details are just a constant all over the field, hiding “In Plain Site”, yet when you focus on them they’re such a treat and add so much texture to the show.

WOW! Almost all black and white the entire show, and then the entire ARMY of a color guard comes out with every color of the rainbow to fill out the entire field.
