Edom is prophesied to be a small nation (Oba 1:2).

They would be violent and live by the sword (Gen 27:40, Oba 1:10).

They would be greatly despised by the world (Oba 1:2, Mal 1:3-4).

Do the 11 million Ashkenazi match these Scriptural depictions?

Edom, through King Herod, ruled over Jerusalem during the First Advent (Josephus, Ant. 13.9.1, Ant. 14.15.2, Ant. 14.9.4).

They’re prophesied to rule from Zion again in the Last Days prior to the Second Advent (Oba 1:15-21, Eze 11:15-17, Zech 14:21, Luke 21:24).

They claim Jerusalem is their inheritance, though it is Jacob’s (Eze 35:10; 36:5; Ps 83:4-12).

They will be overthrown by Israel when Jesus returns (Oba 1:21, Am 9:11-12, Zech 14:21).

Being twins, Jacob and Esau are genetically similar (Gen 25:21-26).

The same word “admoni” (ruddy) described both Esau and King David (Gen 25:25, 1 Sam 16:12, 17:42).

Edom always dwelt near and contended with Israel in Biblical times (Num 20:14-21, 2 Sam 8:14, 1 Kings 11:14).

They’re prophesied to eventually break Jacob’s yoke from their neck in the Latter Days (Gen 27:40).

ON EUROPEANS & ASHKENAZI

Who do the Ashkenazi look like?

Who also has red hair and ruddy complexions in their genetics?

What people group have the Ashkenazi lived near and contended with for millennia?

Whose yoke did they break free from through the Balfour Declaration and 1948 war?

The Ashkenazi look like Europeans.
They’ve lived near Europeans.
They broke free from Europeans.

Ashkenazi are the primary proponents of Replacement Migration (UN).

This is not hyperbole. This conclusion is confirmed by Scripture, Archeology, Historiography, and Modern Genetic research.

Ashkenazi are made up of paternal Haplogroups J and E (Behar et al. 2003).

Europeans are made up of Haplogroup R (Jobling & Tyler-Smith 2017).

Europeans (R) meet all the Biblical criteria for being Ethnic Israel.

Ashkenazi (J & E) fail each criterion.

CRITERION 1: Israel must be genetically distinct from the peoples of Canaan. (Deut 14:2; Deut 7:1-4)

Haplogroups J & E are indigenous to the Levant before, during, and after Israel's occupation. (Haber et al. 2017)

Haplogroup R, found in Megiddo, Ashkelon, and Tel Shadud, are "Peculiar People" born locally in the region. (Agranat-Tamir et al. 2020; Feldman et al. 2019; Mallick et al. 2024)

Europeans win.

CRITERION 2: Israel must pulse into and exit the Levant between 1446 (Exodus) - 722 BC (Assyria). (2 Kings 17:6; 1 Chron 21:5; Ezra 2:64)

J & E are present in Canaan from Neolithic to today. (Haber et al. 2020; Semino et al. 2004)

R has population-level impact in Israel circa 1000 BC (Davidic Kingdom) then fades over time. (Haber et al. 2020 — "significant genetic changes… increase in Eurasian ancestry… starting from the Iron Age II [c. 1000 BC]"; Feldman et al. 2019; Grugni et al. 2012)

CRITERION 3: Levites must preserve the ancient genetic signature. (Num 8:14; Ex 2:1; Num 35)

Vast majority of Ashkenazi are J & E. (Behar et al. 2003)

However, their 300k Levites are Haplogroup R. (Behar et al. 2017; Rootsi et al. 2013—R1a-M582 subclade virtually absent in non-Levite Near Eastern populations).

The Levite paternal ancestor was found buried c. 1350 BC at Megiddo (Judges period). (Agranat-Tamir et al. 2020)

CRITERION 4: Israel must experience Leprosy and Tuberculosis at highest levels. (Deut 28:27)

The first-century (c. 30 AD) Tomb of the Shroud remains showed Leprosy and Tuberculosis. (Matheson et al. 2009)

Both diseases had their highest peaks in history in Europe and the United States among R populations. (Donoghue et al. 2005; Schuenemann et al. 2018)

CLOSING ARGUMENT:

Lazaridis et al (2015) Principal Component Analysis revealed something shocking.

Among the genetically related people of the Middle East and Europe, there are 12 genetic clusters closely related to each other.

The Ashkenazi sit outside of this family due to Canaanite / Ishamelite admixture (Gen 36:2-3; Lazaridis et al. 2015; Agranat-Tamir et al. 2020).

The 12 genetic clusters are Europeans (Slavic, Baltic, Central European, Germanic, Balkan, Italian, French, Spanish, South French, Basque, Sardinian, and Sicilian).

These are the “Lost Tribes” of Israel, all dominant or co-dominant Haplogroup R (Jobling & Tyler-Smith 2017).

Europeans are Israelites.

Why did He specifically need to humble himself? Because vs 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God
