Asians put a big emphasis on academics which are important but unless you’re the .01% isn’t impressive when you’re applying to a school with every other person in the 1%

Asians could be at a huge disadvantage if they are being compared to other students who came from the same place or income group and it’s just not as impressive as someone who came close but had a fraction of the resources.

I’m saying this chart doesn’t give the full story of the applicants that got accepted. I’m saying that some (not all) may have gotten lower grades but excelled in other parts of the application process.

@joelwuzhere @ritawkfld @ycinnewyork This looks strictly at the academics and completely ignores extra curriculars. Who would you argue is a better candidate, a student with 4.2 GPA or a student with a 3.3 GPA who worked through highschool and participated in clubs and/or sports.

GOP leaders would prefer to cry and complain than pass or introduce anything to help their constituents if it might make the democrats look good.

@Hurleybrowns @RyanElward Seems like it’s not beneficial to negotiate pay when you’re one guy vs apart of a union with more bargaining power. Yes sometimes they keep shitty employees but better to keep 1 shitty employee than lose a couple good ones cause the company wants to restructure and fire people
