After my ex found out I have three degrees he started weaving “jokes” about me being a slow learner or stupid into our regular conversations. Unrelated, he dropped out of uni after failing the same first year paper three times.
The smarter women are, the more hostility they face.
In the U.S. & China, the higher women’s IQs, the less they're liked—and the more they’re undermined by coworkers. Men pay no price for being bright.
It's long past time to recognize female intellect as an asset, not a threat.
@thereisnocash@hip_hip_hirai I said they don’t use Black like you think because the person I was replying to said Black only refers to Aboriginal people & not Africans. Also Aboriginal people use lots of other terminology as well as Blak/Black. I personally don’t see Black as the primary term used.
@Vivishurliff3@neleayahy@Troymorrison7@kinkinnatus Enough with this reverse racism bs. Idgaf that she’s mixed race, I gaf that she’s non Black trying to force her way into our spaces. There’s ample Pasifika groups she can join where she will actually learn about her culture and relate to them. What do we have to offer her.
@Getinloser3@NeeNeeNichelle most Pasifika people use “black” to refer to a skin tone. So you’ll hear people say things like “I’m getting black” if they’ve got a tan. I don’t think (m)any of them really think about it in respect to actual race on the day to day unless they’re involved in discourse.

@BaddieMonesWrld There’s ample Pasifika groups too but Polys are some of the most prolific culture vultures out, so her wanting in our spaces makes total sense.
