There is a powerful movement of working class people in the state of Maine, and millions more across America who are ready to send a progressive fighter to the Senate. I’ve been fighting for that movement my whole life — and I’m sure as hell not backing down now, when this fight is needed most.
I’m in. And we're going to defeat Susan Collins. Maine deserves a Senator that will fight for working families.
@ostonox Good strategy. I still want to win Maine and I’m sick of people acting like that’s a defense for platner. He’s cooked, it’s more than JoeOver for him. I’d rather plan for what’s next than make a show of how much better I am at taking out my own trash than republicans.
@ostonox@ettingermentum Holding the party hostage is pretty exaggerated, this is moving quick and much faster than any centrist. Platner is cooked, I’m more focused on who could replace him and what forces will appoint.
@warsanddolls@ed_dems You might not get the nuance in English but I’m not defending him, I’m saying establishment does extensive oppo on progresssive candidates. You’re either a sock puppet or too defensive to tell the difference between a planter defense or an establishment critique.
There is no place in our politics for sexual violence. Not in our party, not in any party. Graham Platner must withdraw from this race today.
This is not what we stand for. Not as Democrats, not as Mainers, not as human beings. For too long, women who survive sexual violence have been told to stay quiet, to protect the men who hurt them, to think about the campaign, the party, the cause. We cannot ask women to trust us with their futures while looking the other way when one of our own hurts them. That ends here.
I believe Jenny Racicot.
@Bitcoin_Teddy Zero chance you knew what Deloitte was when she said this last year. If you hear a congresswoman talking about rivers on fire you could’ve googled it and saw it was DuPont.
It’s okay to change your mind when presented new info.
I’ll do it. I’ll admit it. We all should when needed!
& given the nature of these allegations, the “we were right” reaction is weird + gross.
A horrific experience a woman had… Nobody should want to be right about that.
