Been there; seen(done) that.
I've been naive enough to attempt rewrites in the past.
Most recently I've seen it attempted by my successor at my last startup and repeat the same mistakes I did.
The disc turns, the turtle moves.
A complete rewrite is the only option when you don’t understand how code works. And good software engineer will soon realise that its first steps towards walking into a field full of land mines.
@Airtel_Presence You do employ people who don't care. This is the response I got for a mail. The purple parts are my mail. All the rep did was hit reply and send!!
Forgot Username/Password using debit card has been experiencing "Technical Difficulties" for the past month.
If you don't want me to use you anymore, that can be easily arranged. Let me know.
Your customer care goes into infinite loop with an error:
"Context specific help is unavailable; the system is experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later".
The difference between philosophy and software engineering is that the philosophers can argue endlessly about the nature of identity where the engineers have to pick a damn definition to implement and live with the consequences of the inevitable flaws of their design decisions.
Unpopular opinion: The real productivity tool for a non-tech founder to learn is git + gitlab/github.
Programmers have more decades collaborating on massive volumes of text than almost any other group... and the ability to build tools to make it tractable. And they have.
Kudos to our govt. We get the valuable name boards while Google gets only the data. I mean boards are real and you can touch and smell but data is abstract and not real anyway. Right? :'D
One of the most understated features of pair programming, and a big part of why it is "worth it", is that you never really get stuck on something for several days, as can happen often when soloing.
Here's why 🧵
@AjeyGore@Pentropy How do you do no-approval leave policy without effecting availability? Or are you just betting that it just averages out in the long term?
@RelianceDigital This was supposed to be delivered on 10th. No excuse? No explanation on why it was delayed by 400%?the website has no shipping information but you shamelessly lie to my face that it's shipped?
How can you be so nonchalant with your response? Absolutely no responsibility.
@RelianceDigital has the most pathetic ecommerce site I've ever witnessed. Even scam sites have better order pages.
All I'm seeing is "order confirmed". No status on the day after it's supposed to be delivered.
Customer care apparently has the same screen! Equally useless.
@RelianceDigital Shared the details you wanted.
Let's see how long it'll take you to figure out the basics like order
status and why you failed.
Your clock already started.
