3 lobs already by Cleveland. All within the first 3 minutes of the game. In game reads obviously, but wonder if that was in the scouting report as well.
"Basketball didn't matter, but the basketball team did." This sentence is the essence to everything that is great about the game. This was a great way to spend almost an hour. Truly fantastic writing by Wright Thompson.

The Chicago Bulls are finalizing a deal to hire Orlando Magic assistant GM Stephen Mervis as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations under new EVP Bryson Graham, sources tell ESPN. Bulls will also hire Brooklyn Nets executive Acie Law as Vice President of Player Personnel.
Mark Daigneault on his relationship with the team: “I got great advice one time. You need to be there when they need you. Early on, when we were younger, I think they needed us a little bit more in terms of direction, in terms of guidance, in terms of some of the stuff we're talking about. As time's gone on, there's been situations where they've needed us less. I think the worst thing you can do in those situations is stifle their autonomy and over-coach their ownership.”
How long has Naz Reid been a practitioner of no-look rim reads? He's out there looking like prime Rockets/Nets Harden with these "Eyes sell Lies" deception tactics.
Man, I’m super pumped for BG. One of the great guys in the business, and was one of the first to respond to me back when I was just trying to find my way. Good things go to good people!
Just in: The Chicago Bulls are hiring Atlanta Hawks senior vice president Bryson Graham as the franchise's new Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, sources tell ESPN. Graham spent 15 years in New Orleans before joining Atlanta last offseason, rising from an intern to GM, and now becomes the Bulls top executive.
Joe Mazzulla with an inspiring message:
“Too many times it’s all about winning, winning, winning. You have to surrender to the idea that when you’re going after that you’re gonna fail, we failed by not winning, but we stick to the process of being able to do that.”
@Coach_Reub Excellent description, Coach. Better than mine from the original post! And you’re spot on. To me the Heat don’t just talk about PD, they live and breathe it every day.
Heat Culture is a real thing. It starts with Riley, then Spo, and then his assistant coaches. This is a great video into how they do their jobs day in and day out. https://t.co/WQ8sE6Mkhk
I’m making edits for our returners to help them visualize their offseason development. Most are from our workouts. Also included are higher level examples of what they are trying to improve on. Here are a few of those examples.
Some of the coaches in this league worry too much about what a players weakness is instead of how can they utilize their talent and skill set to their advantage to help them win the game. Some of the best defense a young player will ever face in the NBA will be from his coach…
The Washington Wizards plan to promote G League Capital City Go-Go head coach Cody Toppert to an assistant coach on head coach Brian Keefe’s staff for next season, @MikeAScotto reports.
The organization has given Toppert tons of credit in regards to their player development.
