Arnaud De Lie's win was insane to watch on TV, but his Strava reveals even more insane numbers. Just look at this.
He sprinted for 55 seconds over a distance of 492 m at an average gradient of 10%, and wait… he averaged 954 W with a max power of 1200 W.
Additional stats to this are that his avg. speed was 32,2 km/h with a max speed of 38,4 km/h, which is insane for a 10% gradient, and his average cadence was 86 rpm.
Sometimes De Lie produces an absolutely alien performance, but currently, unfortunately, it is just sometimes. But I believe he can get there and be more consistent.

From sprained ankle ligaments to the Tour de France in one month?
Had a good talk with Pavel Bittner who is on his way on doing something almost impossible.
First I talked about the current situation in Picnic: “The atmosphere in Team Picnic remains good despite everything, and everyone riders and staff alike is giving their maximum. We lost important points due to injuries to Nils Eekhoff, Max Poole who supposed to be the leader at the Giro and myself. It’s not an excuse, but it certainly didn’t help our situation.”
“The points standings don’t look great, also we got the World Tour licence only for one year, but there are no concerns about the team’s future. We all trust Iwan Spekenbrink and there are no thoughts Team Picnic will fold.´
His end of contract this year: “I have been with Picnic for several years, and it has played a huge role in helping me become the rider I am today. That said, my contract is coming to an end, and when deciding on my future team, I will look for the place where I can get the most opportunities over better salary or being in a superteam. Over the past year and a half, the chances I have been given to ride for myself at the biggest races have helped me improve tremendously. And that is my main factor.”
And his Tour dream: “As for my injury, I tore ankle ligaments in Dunkerque and was told to stay off the bike for six weeks. I focused on recovery, got back on the trainer after 12 days and was riding outdoors two days later. Thanks especially to my girlfriend Mirre for taking such great care of me. Without her my Tour thoughts wouldn’t be possible. I’m working towards structured training again and still dream of making the Tour de France, even if I’m still wearing a walking boot.”

„Trať má opravdu tvrdý profil. A ještě dnes ráno jsem to kontroloval – čeká nás opravdu nejtěžší mistrák. Těžko k tomu říci více než to, že sám jsem si moc těch těžkých mistráků neužil, chci to prostě klukům dopřát,“ řekl s úsměvem ředitel závodu Leopold König
