@BlueScarfGames There’s an ongoing rumour that a member of the Steam reviews team absolutely despises VNs. It’s been an issue for like half a decade, probably longer.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot Also, you amuse me little man. You honestly think you can outinsult and outswear an Australian.
You are the mouse, hiding terrified in his hole.
I am the cat, waiting for the meal to emerge.
So, little mouse. Bell the cat.
You can even use Grok to work out what that means.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot@MintBlitz And yet you still played the thing.
Besides, he looks normal. I’ve seen wretched, twisted abominations, devoid of life and hope, talking about tech and games.
They’re called games journalists.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot God you’re a fucking moron. Mike was the original shortened version, dates back to 1920.
Also, there’s other countries out there that have different terms for things.
For a guy who’s gone teach you lesson, you’re a fuckwit.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot I had you down as one of the immature brats screaming into an original crackly Xbox microphone about how he’d own people’s mothers.
Glad to see I was wrong, it was a crackly Xbox 360 mike.
@NilesSankey@YackassThePSL@WiggerMaggot Yeah, it’s something that I’d go ‘Huh, he’s been in the industry before.’
Thing is, that’s not a guarantee of success. Look at Molyneux and Godus.
And not every game succeeds. You’re competing against many other titles, recent or not.
@NilesSankey@YackassThePSL@WiggerMaggot Because there’s a vast difference between ‘I worked at Bungie, I’ll put it in my bio and mention it’ and “IM THE FURST SEKUND GENERASHUN EMPLOYEE AT BLIZZURD BLIZZURD BLIZZURD”.
@NilesSankey@YackassThePSL@WiggerMaggot I look at a heap of indie games a month, part of my monthly games recaps.
It’s genuinely interesting to see what people play, what comes out. April had Idols of Ash, SimplyPlanes 2, Global Rescue, Flock Around and a fair few others.
Me? I’d say mention previous experience.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot If he wants to quit AAA to make his own game, fine. Best of luck to him, very competitive environment.
If he wants to include where he worked before in his bio, fine. He’s allowed to.
To call him fucking pathetic, though? If your take was any worse, you’d work for IGN.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot And how does Niles fit as an entitled indie dev?
I’d argue that you’re many more times more entitled.
Oh, right, we’re insulting each other too. You filth encrusted excrement of inbred diseased pigeons was crapped onto a San Francisco sidewalk.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot Correct, the WiiU came out in late 2012.
But let me give some other hardware. I mentioned nVidia’s 600 series, so AMD had the 7900s.
Intel had 3rd gens and AMD was Piledriving. Apple had the A6.
Again, I mention these to show how long 14 years is.
So fuck off, retard.
@YackassThePSL@NilesSankey@WiggerMaggot Yackles, it’s idiots like you who give gamers a bad name. Let’s say that 2012 was the peak for indie games. So in the following 14 years, there’s nothing that stood out?
14 years ago, the Wii U wasn’t out yet. nVidia had the GeForce 600s.
That’s an eternity in hardware.
Alrighty. The look at games in April’s out, slightly delayed, but with some interesting titles like Idols of Ash and SimplyPlanes 2.

The UI is… different from the original. Feels cramped. Might have to tinker more with settings.
AI’s very different. Will murder your vills. Had a skirmish match on strange map, two big islands in middle, smaller ones on edges.
Honestly too early to say. 2/2
Thoughts on AOE2DE Mac.
There’s a somewhat long black screen on starting, 20ish seconds. It really makes me feel like the game crashed. Eventually it goes away and the logos appear.
Graphics, performance and sound are good.
Why is voiceove mode on by default?
1/2
Alrighty, since AOE2DE’s out on Mac, I‘ll be streaming it on Saturday. Won’t be anything amazing, Probably just do a random match against AI. Figure something like a 2v2v2 on a huge map.
Alright, I doubt this’ll get noticed. @elonmusk@nikitabier Any point in small content creators trying to engage with X/Twitter? Is the algorithm or whatever it is just ignoring or downplaying people?
I’ll just idly note that in my view, the new ‘Capybara’ tag on Steam could probably be covered by the equally as new ’Animals’ tag.
Granted, Valve isn’t exactly open to receiving feedback In my experience.
@enzi__nia There’s honestly many reasons why. The publisher could force it out too soon, the developers might be not very good, it could launch into a oversaturated genre, there could be data lost…
