Thanjavur maintaining the British era sheds, buildings and the bench even ( SIR ) makes it kind of a heritage station. Despite the PF being raised for BG ops, making the sheds tad bit smaller, yet props for maintaining them pristine.
Good News for Tiruvannamalai!!👏👏
Trichy Division has floated a tender to construct a running room of 12 bed capacity which will handle the train operations crew at TNM.
Thank you @DRMTPJ, also, kindly sanction the additional platforms & Stabling lines at the earliest 🙏🙏.
Good News 🗞️ 🚂
The Southern Railway has released further tender for the upgradation work of Tirunageshwaram Railway station from Halt to Block.
A Tender has been floated for the Track Joining, Point & Crossing and Ballast filling in the Tirunageshwaram railway station.
My concern is also about the Central Bus Terminus. At present, it feels like the terminal intentionally stripped from its regular operations rather than IBT to be used as a solution to ease congestion and space constraints. From what I have seen/observed, many buses stop there only 1-2 mins, overall bus utilisation at the Central Bus Terminus seems very low.
That's why... I was thinking like if all Chatiram-bound Moffussil services could be extended up to the Central Bus Terminus to make better use of it..
Also, if I'm not wrong... IBT may not have many addntl platforms to accommodate new routes. (Please correct me if I was wrong)
⚠️ DISASTER AT MADRAS MUSEUM! ⚠️
Priceless ancient artifacts dating back to the 3rd century & earlier are being treated like worthless junk. Rushed renovation work is happening directly on top of & around these irreplaceable treasures, leaving beautiful historical sculptures buried under construction pipes, rubble, and heavy machinery as seen in attached images and videos!

Getting a Side Lower berth in a train is one of those small things in life that instantly upgrades your entire journey 😍🚆
At first, I never understood why people made such a big deal out of it. For me, a train seat was just a seat. You sit, you travel, you reach your destination—that’s it. Nothing special.
But then one day, I finally got a Side Lower berth.
And honestly, that changed the way I look at train journeys forever.
The moment I settled in, I realized the difference. No struggling to climb up like the upper berth passengers. No awkward moments of disturbing others again and again just to adjust or sit properly. No stress of making space every time someone wants to pass through the aisle.
It just felt… easy.
Comfortable.
Natural.
The window right beside me showed the world outside moving like a slow movie—fields, stations, trees, small villages, and unknown places passing by in a blur. A gentle breeze kept coming in, making everything feel calm and peaceful.
For the first time, I wasn’t just “traveling”—I was actually enjoying the journey.
There’s something special about sitting at a Side Lower berth. You have your own little private space in a crowded train. You can sit, stretch your legs, lean on the window, or just relax without constantly adjusting yourself.
No noise of climbing ladders. No disturbance of upper berth movements. Just peace.
That’s when I understood why people are so obsessed with it.
Side Lower isn’t just about comfort—it’s about freedom during travel. It gives you a sense of control in a place where usually everything feels shared and chaotic.
Now, whenever I book a train ticket, I don’t just check the destination or time anymore. The first thought that comes to my mind is simple:
“Do I have a Side Lower berth?”
Because once you experience it, everything else feels like a compromise.
It turns a normal train ride into a relaxing experience. Sometimes, the journey becomes more memorable than the destination itself.
And maybe that’s the real charm of travel—not just reaching somewhere, but actually enjoying how you get there.
So tell me… what’s your favorite seat in a train journey? 👇

Passengers after paying the fare not getting the experience of travelling in trains like Humsafar,Duronto,Mahamana, antyodaya due to mismatch scheme which is going on by every division and zones|We are still not aware that what's our fault for this partiality with us @RailMinIndia
Headline: Breaking News: Indian Railways achieves 100% Communism (But only in Coach Colors)! 🟥🔴🎒😁
🚂Huge round of applause for Indian Railways! 👏🏻
They have successfully solved the biggest crisis plaguing our nation: the existence of multiple colors on tracks. Who needs variety when you can have the glorious, unmissable, retina-burning LHB RED for literally every single train in existence?
🫡Gone are the days when you could look at a train and guess its premium status. Now, we enjoy the thrill of ultimate equality:
👉🏻Passenger Train? Paint it Red.
👉🏻Express Train? Paint it Red.
👉🏻Superfast Train? Paint it Red.
👉🏻Jan Shatabdi? Paint it Red.
👉🏻Garib Rath? (R.I.P. iconic green-yellow) Paint it Red.
👉🏻Humsafar? (Goodbye beautiful vinyl wrap) Paint it Red.
👉🏻Duronto? (Who needs those vibrant, artistic squiggles?) Paint it Red.
👉🏻Rajdhani? Well, it was already Red, but now it has no bragging rights because the local passenger train next to it looks exactly the same.
🚶🏻Honestly, standing on a platform nowadays feels like staring into a giant, never-ending bottle of tomato ketchup. It’s a wonderful psychological experiment where a passenger paying ₹3000 for a Rajdhani ticket and a passenger paying ₹150 for a general express ticket get to share the exact same aesthetic existential dread. Visual hierarchy? Never heard of her.
📢 A Humble, Desperate Petition to the @AshwiniVaishnaw@RailMinIndia sir :
✨Can we please bring back some color psychology before the entire nation forgets that colors other than crimson exist? We demand a distinct, category-wise color coding system so passengers don't accidentally board a local passenger train thinking it’s the Rajdhani (or vice versa, though their backsides will figure it out soon enough).
Here are some free suggestions since your design department seems to have run out of ink:
🟢 Garib Rath / Jan Shatabdi: Bring back the Greens and Blues! Let budget travelers feel like they are entering a refreshing oasis, not a generic red box.
🔵 Superfast / Express: Give them a distinct shade (maybe a sleek royal blue or teal) so we know it’s a standard long-distance train.
🟡 Duronto: Bring back the bright yellow and green shades! It’s supposed to be non-stop and energetic, not look like a stationary brick wall.
👑 Rajdhani: Keep it Red/Tejas pattern or give it a premium metallic tint, but let it hold its exclusive crown without sharing its outfit with every passing sawari train.
Please, @RailMinIndia . We love the safety, facilities & speed of LHB coaches, we really do. But it doesn't have to mean visual monotony. Give our eyes a break. Paint the tracks with a rainbow, not just a blood-red monsoon! 🎨🛤️

Entire Nation Demanding Different liveries for trains!
Will @AshwiniVaishnaw make it happen?
From his vision to Build bullet trains , how many hours it'll take for him to introduce liveries to the coaches?

#Perambalur residents have urged #TNSTC to include the town as an official boarding and dropping point in its online reservation system, citing inconvenience and higher travel costs despite several government buses passing through the town.
