Building SACCOs for Wealth Creation! It was a privilege to participate in the formation of the Uganda Nurses and Midwives (UNAM) SACCO, which brought together over 300 committed members dedicated to transforming their livelihoods through collective savings and investment. Gidson Ainamani, Head of Business Development Services (BDS) @MSCuganda , encouraged members to embrace a strong saving culture, mobilize more members, and uphold transparency. Prof. Edward Kumakech, Interim Chairperson of the UNAM SACCO, reaffirmed members’ commitment to creating sustainable wealth and socio-economic transformation through the SACCO.

Wealth creation through SACCOs and cooperatives is transforming communities. Great to hand over a truck to Kimika Kikwata Coffee Farmers Cooperative with 411 coffee farmers. “The truck will connect us to larger markets and cut down the high transportation costs we’ve been facing while moving our coffee,” noted Mr. Zziwa Godfrey Muwanga, SACCO Chairperson. Joseph Baraza, Regional Manager, @MSCuganda, encouraged members to use the truck for wealth creation, leading to social economic transformation.

Wealth Creation: Northern Uganda’s agricultural transformation gets a boost with the provision of 3 tractors and 3 trailers to Northern Uganda Tractor Owners, Operators, Mechanics & Farmers SACCO (NUTOFA). The equipment will enhance mechanization, increase production, create jobs, and grow farmer incomes. “This is a game changer for wealth creation and productivity,” said Chairperson Achac Robert Okot. “MSC is committed to investments that drive production, employment, and socio-economic transformation,” noted MSC Claire Atuheirwe, Head of HR.

Strategic Leadership for Wealth Creation

Today, Hon. Shartsi Kutesa Musherure, Minister of State for Microfinance, met with @MSCuganda Top Management and was briefed on @MSCuganda’s role in wealth creation, financial inclusion, and community mobilisation for socio-economic transformation.

The Minister was further briefed on the impressive growth in savings mobilised through SACCOs—demonstrating the power of collective action in building financial resilience and expanding the participation of communities in the money economy.

She reaffirmed her commitment to provide political guidance and strategic support to @MSCuganda in advancing H.E. the President’s vision of transforming every Ugandan into the money economy through wealth creation and socio-economic transformation.

The Minister also pledged to champion efforts to build resilient, sustainable and community-owned financial institutions that strengthen savings, expand access to affordable finance, improve household incomes and accelerate inclusive socio-economic transformation.
