Aaron’s managed to take over social media discourse for days, piss off all the disgusting Zionists, get the biggest MSM institutions to say the US is complicit in genocide, inspire renewed protests worldwide, spur on artists and poets and writers the world over, and, perhaps most importantly, breathe renewed hope into those still struggling for life in Gaza by showing them even some of those deep in the belly of the beast—in the US armed forces—see and understand and fully stand by Palestine.

And it’s been what, five days?

If you argue this is nothing, you simply don’t understand how movements work, how we constantly re-energise and re-ignite one another’s passion to continue striving harder every single day for justice, and how every act informs the whole in ways that can be revisited indefinitely until liberation is achieved.

I’m devastated by the loss of such a brilliant, kind, compassionate, intelligent, thoughtful, powerful, sincere young man—but his sacrifice will never be in vain.

In fact, on the contrary, he will be immortalised in the struggle for liberation the world over and will be remembered long after his critics are dead and gone.
