Then Major Edward Brecht (Para) finished in 2nd place in a class of over 1000 students, and receives the Eisenhower Award – presented to the best overall International Military Student (the 3rd year in a row a UK Student has won it). He will progress to @us_sams next term.
Also at @us_sams Major Sam Patterson (RLC) finished comfortably in the top third of the course – itself an outstanding result for the US Army’s premier graduate-level education programme for Operational Art. He was also successful in getting published in ‘Military Review’.
Incredible @BritishArmy results from @USACGSC - at @us_sams Major Chris Adams (RE) (who came third on the CGSOC last year) finished within the top 3% of the course (third again) and was selected as a Superior Graduate. He was also nominated for the Iron Pen award. 🧵 #sidebyside

After the moving moment soldiers from @The_SCOTS laid their Revolutionary War descendant to rest in SC, @USArmy Brigadier General Jason Kelly thanks them and @BritishArmyUSA staff for honouring the man who two centuries ago would have been his enemy.
More than 2 centuries ago, a group of young, frightened soldiers looked each other in the eye across the Revolutionary War battlefield of Camden, South Carolina.
Many died. Almost all had been ‘missing in action’ for 242 years.
But the remains of 14 have now been discovered….
Amazing day for the AMA in Camden over the weekend. Around 3,000 present to witness 2 @The_SCOTS carry the body of a fallen British soldier from the Revolutionary War. He was interred with full honours, with several US soldiers. Adversaries on the battlefield, buried #sidebyside
An innovative project is underway to deliver blood and plasma to injured soldiers on the battlefield.
