Why do you want to send us away?
You brought us here. We did not come to Canada illegally on our own. We came through the legal pathway that Canada opened for us. #extendts2023#TS2023Families +++
Today, TS2023 families stood in more than one community across Canada.
Different cities. Different people. The same hope.
We just want the chance to keep building the lives we’ve already started 🇨🇦

You keep making assumptions instead of arguments. I'm a Canadian citizen, not a temporary resident. My service to Canada was recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal. So spare me the lecture about contributing to this country. Now, if you'd like to discuss the actual policy affecting legally admitted TS2023 families, I'm happy to do that. If not, you're just proving my point.
You didn't come here looking for dialogue you came looking for a target. You label thousands of legal residents as "visa scammers," then complain they won't engage in dialogue. That's not how dialogue works. You don't start a conversation by dehumanizing people. Many TS2023 families are professionals, taxpayers, homeowners, and parents raising Canadian schoolchildren. They're not asking for charity they're asking for time to qualify through existing PR pathways. If you want a real discussion, debate the policy. If insults are all you have, don't pretend you're interested in dialogue. That's prejudice, not debate.
The hypocrisy is simple: you benefited from immigration, then mock other legal immigrants instead of discussing policy on its merits. Nobody is asking for special treatment. These families entered Canada legally under a Government of Canada emergency program, work, pay taxes, and contribute to their communities. They're simply asking for enough time to complete their permanent residence pathways through existing immigration programs. We can disagree on immigration policy without dehumanizing people or pretending humanitarian discretion has never existed in Canada.
Many TS2023 families are highly educated, skilled, employed, and earning good incomes. Some contribute more to Canada’s economy than the people attacking them online. Their challenge is not lack of value it is that Express Entry often penalizes people for factors like age, timing, and technical eligibility gaps. Asking for time to complete existing PR pathways is not “fueling anger.” Dehumanizing legal
@TheHillTimes It’s not fair. For our children future,we kindly request to extend our work permit. We work and pay taxes,we do not get any financial asistance from goverment.#extendTS2023
It is a peaceful demonstration. We are simply trying to explain our situation in a free country. We are here legally.
Since we came here, we have worked, stood on our own feet, and never asked for financial help and we are not asking for it now. +++
Some people are trying to make it look like we are a burden or that we are receiving benefits. That is not true. Being insulted and looked down on for simply telling our story is not acceptable. #extendts2023
Even if TS 2023 earthquake survivors are unseen, unheard, and now being asked to leave, we are still part of this country.
We came legally, worked, paid taxes, and tried to rebuild our lives with dignity.
We are here. We are human. We are part of Canada too.
Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦
Why can’t we just be human beings?
Why does every person in this world have to be reduced to a race, a religion, a label, or a political argument?
I am tired of racism, hate, false accusations, and being treated like we are less than human. #extendts2023
@personthm How can you hate our behaviour when you don’t even know us? You are writing in a very openly insulting way. What is the reason for that? Why so much hate?
@JTighe1873 We came here legally through a Canadian government program after surviving an earthquake. We work, pay taxes, and try to rebuild our lives with dignity. Hate won’t build Canada compassion, fairness, and humanity will. #ExtendTS2023
