@mjshrimper imo its cause the PL (and others) have priced themselves out of the range of so many fans. To have access to all tv PL games requires a bunch of subscriptions, and you still miss out. Its a poorly priced, and structured product. So people rebel against it.
@SwedishRumble Kane was coming off an injury and seemed clearly unfit at the Euros. It wasn't a comment on his general play or ability - but a specific lack of mibility at the time.
@chivesy6 For all the money they spent.... it was crap. Elanga, Wissa were obvious bad buys for the money. But they Howe and his brother are also in charge of recruitment. So man that is terrible!
I've seen (& signed) the petition going around. But I think the much more powerful response if you're hoping for some kind of future for the franchise is:
Log on the week of June 9th.
Dont' get me wrong, Sony execs aren't gonna fall to their knees in tears and insta-green-light D3 or anything. But seeing SO many players out there logging on to give one last hurrah to the franchise that meant so much to them - it'll speak volumes in its own way.
At the very least, we'll have one more window of fun enjoying the last batch of new content in a game that meant so much to us. At best, it'll show how passionate the community still is, and just how badly so many of us want SOME kind of future for this franchise, no matter how long it might take to build.
I'll see you out there in June. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.
@AFCDan86@DaleJohnsonBBC They were pulling the players before the foul on Raya though?
Needs to influence the play seems a stretch - so if I kick a player off the ball its fine? Cause it didn't influence the play? That isn't how football works for anything else.
@DaleJohnsonBBC and their view on Rice and other arsenal players dragging West Ham players down and pulling them back?
And their view on Arsenal fouling Bayindir opening day?
Its not the specific foul on Raya, its why that foul, and not all the rest.
@MarkOgden_ It got that decision right in isolation, vs a bunch of similar calls it made differently, and ignoring two west ham players being pulled back or pulled down by Arsenal players on the same corner.
It was, again, inconsistent rubbish from VAR.
@EWHK70 Not to say he should stay, but is he not simply the personification of the party? Would they be any different with someone else in charge? Would they have taken a different approach on any policy? Stick or twist, the GE results are probably predictable right now.
@paul_grech An attacker could hold on to a defeners sleeve as they look to run behind... and as long as they are incontact with the defender they are onside.
@robbopalmer I think they do. they just don't use the term.
When people talk about a player being a great finisher, reliable etc - that is someone who outperforms xG. When people talk about players being on hot streaks or getting lucky - that is them applying an internal xG on their chances
@robbopalmer I don't believe that is correct. xG isn't decided simply by someone looking at it and going 'thats a 0.65 if ever i saw one'.
There is difference in how different companies model it and evaluate it, but your comment is bar stool ignorance.
@chivesy6 I can somewhat understand a player not being allowed to play the second leg if they were a registered player before the first leg. But I do think it is silly it also stops them from playing in the final.
I don't think the rule should be changed for this season, but next.
