This conflict didn’t start with a drunken brawl. Tensions were already high long before that, It began when two Kuki repairmen were abducted. In retaliation, 18 Tangkhul civilians were detained. After negotiations, the 18 were release but the two #Kukis were killed.

Splendid work being done by Assam Rifles in Manipur doesn’t make it headlines ! Media should not ignore the threat in North East and the relentless work AR is doing in managing it.

Security forces have arrested 10 cadres of the banned militant outfit PREPAK (RA) in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district.
Among the ten PREPAK (RA) members apprehended, five were minors. Officials stated that the minors are being handled in accordance with procedures laid down under the Juvenile Justice Act.
A major tactical interception right at the India-Myanmar border.
🔸️Not content with bombarding a tuition centre teeming with students this morning, Tangkhul Terrorists NSCN-IM & NREF indiscriminately opened fire on Class X students en route home after appearing for their board exams along Leplen-Thingpibung road, but Most reprehensible of all is the fact that the Terrorists carried out the attack with absolute impunity, despite heavy presence of Manipur police stationed at Sinakeithei, who remained passive spectators or worse, complicit actors while inncocent school children were under fire.

The Meitei in Imphal are worried as the Meitei Militant (VBIGs) in Tamu are surrounded by Revolutionary Forces.
Will justice be served for the Tamu people, who have suffered under the VBIGs, puppets of the Junta Military council, responsible for numerous atrocities?
The Kuki Organisation For Human Rights Trust (KOHUR) strongly condems the act of the Manipur Police searching and hounding its Chairman, Shri H.S Benjamin Mate over Mr. N. Biren Singh's audio leak. The Manipur Police must remember that, as per the direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the leaked tapes of Mr. N. Biren Singh has been given to the laboratory for authenticity proof and the results of which was handed over to the Hon'ble Supreme Court in a sealed cover on 23rd January, 2025. Knowing fully well, the Manipur Police has been looking for Shri H.S Benjamin Mate, the petitioner of the said case in Supreme Court on the pretext of "Taking statements on how he got the tapes"
The Hon'ble Supreme Court has already been informed of this act of the Manipur Police by Senior Advocate Prashant Bhushan. The leaked audio tape was taken to the Hon'ble Court only after it got viral in all social media platforms.
Even national medias broke the news much before it was produced as an evid before the Hon'ble Court. Hounding of an activist for doing so only exposes his tyranny over the citizens of the state. Therefore, this act of hounding the petitioner and intimidating his family members by the Manipur goes against the law.
Kuki Organisation For Human Rights Trust will also take all necessary legal actions against the Manipur Police in general and the officers in charge of Churachandpur Police station and Tengnoupal Police station in particular.
And if, Manipur Police really wants to know how the audio tapes got leaked, they should interrogate the Chief Minister himself as he knows who were with him during his confession of commission. This act of witch hunting by the Manipur Police only exposes the guilty acts of their master; and, KOHUR will not stop till orchestrator of the ethnic cleansing progrom is given a befitting punishment, and justice is delivered to all the innocent people who have lost their lives.
