@Barbara13652416 It smelt heavenly and it felt so soft putting it on. I wouldn’t trade growing up on a farm for anything!! I was very blessed for the opportunity.
Kyle and I had a really challenging existence for many years. But we luckily took the time to figure out our differences and that was something he instigated with a conversation in his bus around how we each managed our racing teams. I was super eager for us to get on better terms. But it was he who made the effort for that to be possible. We did some media together also to laugh through some of the things we put each other through many years ago. Most recently we had even been discussing him running my Late Model at Wilkesboro this summer. He seemed extremely happy and we had planned to meet up next Thursday to get his seat to the shop. He laughed over the idea of his fans and JRM fans having to cheer in unison during that race.
Kyle was one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history. No one can deny that. But he was also a father, a husband, brother, son, and a friend to many. My heart is broken for the Busch family. I will never be able to make sense of this loss but I am thankful that we had found a way to become friends.
I’ve been going through old interviews with Kyle Busch over the years. I loved this one with him & Samantha that showed the softer side of Kyle as a Dad and husband. After everything they went through to start a family, they made it their mission to help others who had dealt with similar hardships.
.@dennyhamlin speaks out on the death of NASCAR champion and former longtime teammate Kyle Busch: “To me, personally, I feel like he's the most talented gifted and talented race car driver that ever stepped in a car.”
KYLE BUSCH... A fierce, once-in-a-generation competitor who gave everything on every single lap. A loving husband and father of two who was becoming an even better man off the track.
From intense rivalries with Dale Jr., Harvick, and others that pushed everyone to be better… to earning genuine respect and friendship across the garage. That’s the mark of a true champion.
His final interview last week was prophetic: “You never know when the last one is.”
Praying for his wife Samantha and their two children as they navigate this unimaginable loss. The entire racing community is feeling it.
Rest in Peace, Kyle. You raced hard, loved harder, and left a legacy that will never be forgotten.
Godspeed, champion.
Kyle would go on to do just that, holding off Matt in a thrilling battle during the closing laps.
I got to watch this live. I had just turned 8 years old. This was the moment I knew Kyle was a true wheelman.
Dr. Jerry Punch, Andy Petree, and Brad Daugherty have the call.
RIP.
@Jimmie_DennyFan Kyle wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but his competitiveness drove him not to care about hurting anyone’s feelings. He only cared about one thing…winning. I can’t fault him for being passionate about it. RIP Kyle.
