@sameer_alnamri You may not have seen the landscaped canyons inside the stadium or the landscaping outside it designed to reflect various California habitats. Or the lake.
@Kevin_Hitt@PaulDelos_ That “little further” cost Stan Kroenke an extra $1 billion. And that “cool story” was made up by the shill that the Raiders and Chargers hired on behalf of their losing design in Carson (now Allegiant Stadium).
@PaulDelos_ To be fair, there is the fake memorial flame, surrounded by a bar, honoring the teetotaling Al Davis!
Theres a reason this stadium’s design lost to SoFi in the competition for the NFL stadium in LA.
@JustinJosey1118@Theberni250@AtlantaFalcons I’m not even from ATL, and know that Fulton County Stadium was ugly and round, that the Georgia Dome was neither bad nor special for its time, and that rhe photo on the left isn’t real.
@jpgechele Thank you? The stadium you linked was refurbished without public money, and the stupendous Los Angeles stadium was built with private funds. But many US stadiums are built with public funds for billionaires who don’t pay taxes, while our schools and infrastructure decline.
@AlejandroLopor@jpgechele Not in Democrat-led California. The magnificent Los Angeles stadium in Los Angeles was built without taxpayer funds, as was the less amazing but still impressive San Francisco Bay Area stadium near San Jose.
@Metayantra@jpgechele Capitalism, mixed with some social sensitivity, is what used to be the center of American political thought. We don’t have much of a center any more.
@theerubicon@eethatcher@ibeto_be@FIFAWorldCup You know, I flew into Frankfurt Airport once, and I have seen better airports (like, to my amazement, Rome!). I have not been on German trains (still too creepy after WWII), but ones in Spain, England and even Italy put ours to shame.
@BillyBob_____1@JohnLeFevre They have better airports (ask President Trump) and high speed trains. You know: infrastructure. I absolutely love SoFi Stadium. As magnificent as it has been on the telecasts, they don’t do it justice. But is it “infrastructure”?
