@HRMFireNews@HRFE_Incidents I was told in the past that Mt Uniacke and Enfiled calls are also tied into the numbers as well. This would account for a 400-500 call difference in a given year
@HRMFireNews I was out there earlier today and they had Upper Stewiacke’s tanker at a fill site and 36 Tamker manning a dump tank on the road. Did not see any active smoke or fire
@HRMFireNews Others include the Brighton-Barton Fire Department in Digby county operating the old Tact 12 as a heavy rescue and Liscomb operating on of the old Pemfab units as a pumper.
@coadymonk291@tiffhubbs@HRMFireNews I don’t think MFRs are the complete solution to the problem but we can help alleviate some of it. Sure we can’t transport or push drugs but we can provide the beginning of support until a crew gets on scene.
@coadymonk291@tiffhubbs@HRMFireNews According to the paramedic union, fire fighters won’t solve the problem cuz only “trained paramedic clinicians” can save the world. Although partly true it really diminishes the worth of those of us who want to help and not worried about padding our wallets
@HRMFireNews You talk about being logical when picking appropriate apparatus. Stewiacke is a hell of a lot closer than Milford in this scenario. We cover 2/3 of the Wittenburg road in our own district
@HRMFireNews One would think they’d look at district 4E. Although volunteer numbers were not as dire as the eastern shore I think based on my uneducated observations that the Musquodoboit Valley may have the need for full time staffing as well.
