It’s six months today since I lost my Westminster seat & I’m enjoying life away from frontline politics. While
I find the despair and cynicism surrounding our politics profoundly depressing, from what I saw behind the scenes it is largely justified.
To kick off the New Year we’d like to formally introduce you all to some of the team behind Not All Gays.
Starting off, we have our official President, the Queen of NAG/Sabrina CarpenTERF, otherwise known to us all as Annaïg Birdy.
Annaïg is an exclusively same-sex attracted adult human female—or a lesbian, for those of us who still understand that words have meanings.
At 18, unsure of her path in life, she immersed herself in the workforce, gaining diverse experience in roles ranging from nannying to factory work before discovering a passion for the legal field.
Through self-driven study, Annaïg passed several of Ireland’s solicitors’ entrance exams, with a focus on criminal law, family law, and systemic reform. She is particularly passionate about using her legal knowledge to advocate for political and legislative reforms, including improvements to the justice and family court systems to better support victims of crime and domestic abuse, as well as addressing harmful legislation impacting women’s and gay rights.
Outside of law, Annaïg has always had a deep love for writing, particularly poetry. Through her writing, she explore themes of relationships and feminism. In 2024 she was proud to have two poems published—a milestone she will no doubt build upon in the future.
Activism is one of Annaïg’s main passions. As a teen she was sucked into gender ideology through ‘LGBT+’ youthgroups and would have considered her younger self a ‘liberal feminist’. Though her sense of justice was not always well-directed, she eventually found clarity in radical feminism, which inspired her to co-found Not All Gays. As President, she is exceptionally proud to work alongside a group of young LGB friends to counter the weaponisation of same-sex attracted individuals in promoting harmful legislation, such as hate crime and surrogacy laws, and to challenge the rewriting of gay history.
At Not All Gays, we are committed to safeguarding children—particularly LGB youth—protecting free speech, and advocating for truthful and ethical representation of LGB lives and issues.
In addition to Annaïg’s work with Not All Gays, she is deeply committed to women’s rights and dedicates much of her time and activism advocating for women and girls both in Ireland and across the globe.. Across law, activism, and writing, her ultimate goal is to champion justice, integrity, and the protection of society’s genuinely most vulnerable.

“Party colleagues were elected on a clear and honest commitment to an independent Socialist Scotland, a Socialist republic, a Scotland of citizens not a Scotland of subjects.
"We will continue to fight for such a Scotland."
Oath wording
I (Member's Name), do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Her Heirs and Successors, according to Law. So help me God.

Colin Fox, one of Mr Sheridan's five party colleagues in the parliament, sang Robert Burns' egalitarian "A Man's A Man for A' That" as his protest before being moved to the end of the queue by Presiding Officer Sir David Steel.
He sang for nearly a minute while Sir David told him: "I'm sorry, there's no singing in parliament. Order...
"I'm sorry, if you are not prepared to take the oath, you have to wait until the end of the queue."
Despite his microphone being turned off, Mr Fox persisted with the song then returned to his seat after Sir David had called the next MSP for the second time.
Fellow socialist MSP Rosie Kane, who said last week her party would bring "craziness" to the parliament, had written "My oath is to the people" on the palm of her hand, which she held up as she took the affirmation.

Robin Harper: "People are sovereign"
Robin Harper gave the formal affirmation but also declared: "On behalf of the Scottish Green Party I wish to affirm that our priority will be to serve the people of Scotland who are sovereign in this land."
John Swinney took the oath but said first: "On behalf of my colleagues can I confirm the prime loyalty of the Scottish National Party is to the people of Scotland, in the constitutional tradition of the sovereignty of the people."
Sadly @JohnSwinney@ScotGovFM nor @AngusRobertson were not willing to meet myself @Allanpetrie91@mickbrick54 to discuss changing the oath that elected representatives take in our @ScotParl … why?
