@pietka_t@ConciousLabRat Russia is losing more people nowadays than there are volunteers filling in the gaps. Simply put, after several years of war, the country is just running out of volunteers.
@WLGarner_Author@jmontforttx Socialism exists basically nowhere. Neither does capitalism. What we have is coutries with some form of capitalism at base, and different degrees of social programs on top. With differences being the degrees of each.
@TrevorAdamM@MrPanzin@Alex_Oloyede2 If you lived in Poland, and not half a world away, you'd know how wrong you are on both counts.
Hint: people were saying that very same thing to Ukraine decade ago, and now half of their country is in ruins. Destroyed by Russia, not Brussels.
@TrevorAdamM@Alex_Oloyede2 Sure. As long as it doesn't affect them directly, that is. But now it IS starting to affect them directly, and THAT they do not like.
@Lemonista@RyanWeather@thomaschattwill The best data about the negative consequences of too extensive air conditioner use comes from Singapore actually.
@TrevorAdamM@Alex_Oloyede2 Russia didn't announce mass mobilization because they're afraid its citizens would revolt. It's that simple - Putin has approval for the war only as long as it doesn't affect most of the population.
@TrevorAdamM@MrPanzin@Alex_Oloyede2 Poland is next door too. If Russia starts shooting at EU, Belorus either stays out of it, or is gone very fast.
Also, Russia lacks suppiles for their own troops. And China if informed would invade Russia first before letting them start a WW3.
@JAviQt1@ChigweSibanyama@Discourse__News Except Republicans aren't sitting on their hands and doing nothing. That would actually be preferable to what they're doing nowadays.
@RyanWeather@thomaschattwill Maybe in US cities, which are much more spread and sparsely populated. In more dense infractructure of European cities the net warming effect is much bigger, and drain on electricity much worse.
@ravens_flown@Gerashchenko_en There's no politician in Duma anymore who would dare to speak up publicly such ideas without Putin's prior approval. All those that did already got jailed, or fell out of windows.
And Putin's wealth is safe, noone's going to touch those accounts.
@TrevorAdamM@Alex_Oloyede2 Russia cannot defeat Ukraine. What makes you think they could manage if Europe was added to the mix?
(And Belarus is negligible here, which is why Lukashenko does everything in his power to not get involved)
@solo_levelingx The moment they start using nukes, everyone will turn against them, because even China does not want idiots that might start a WW3 around.
